Quiet 4p-appt in green area at park in center

Unique place to stay for a maximum of 4 people in the green, quiet part of the centre of Amsterdam. In the middle of the 'Plantage-area', the green neighborhood of Amsterdam. Close to where it all happens (15-20 minutes on foot), but a peaceful and friendly area to stay. Perfect for families with kids. The space You stay in a renovated monumental building (150 years old). You have a view on the Wertheimpark, the oldest park of Amsterdam. With four persons you will enjoy the spacious and light apartment, situated in the 'souterrain' (basement) of our home. During summer you can be in the middle of the Gay Pride festivities and during winter you will be able to enjoy the Amsterdam Light Festival and the Illuminade (a special arts and light walking route in our area). And almost all other sights to see are at walking distance (15-20 minutes) or easy to be reached by public transport. Guest access You have your own private access to the apartment. You do not have to share with other people - just your own family or friends. There is a living room with a double bed (boxspring with a double mattress), a separate room with two single-beds (2x boxspring with one-person mattress) and a bathroom with a lavatory, a toilet, a shower and a hairdryer. We DO NOT have a KITCHEN*. We DO HAVE a coffee-machine, water-cooker, a microwave and a fridge and dishes and cutlery. For breakfast you can also visit all sorts of nice places in the neighborhood. We provide some basic coffee and tea, but if you use it a lot, you will have to buy extra yourselves. Behind a glass door there is a staircase to our kitchen, but the door is closed during your stay, so you can you this space as a closet for coats, shoes and bags. There is also a closet with shelves and hangers for clothes. There is a kitchen bar with a sink and a dishwasher, no cooking is possible. It is a nice bar with room for your laptop to work or enjoy breakfast or drinks. You have a look-out to our garden and you can open the door to it, but you CANNOT use it, because its ours. If you do open the doors and sit outside in front of your door, please respect our neighbors and don't be loud. Other things to note The door to the apartment is situated at the doorstep in front of our house. It's a 'souterrain' (basement), so you will have to walk down a small steep stairs. They are quite old, be careful getting down. We have floor-heating which is very comfortable during winter and it's a cool apartment during summer. The apartment does not have airconditioning. We can provide a fan if you need one. If we are not able to give you the key to the apartment ourselves, we will give the code to our key-safe, so you can get in. So 24 hour access is available. We will ask you to evaluate your stay and give us suggestions to make things better. Our student neighbors sometimes have big parties and you will hear some noise. We think it's a really nice part of living in a city with students. They (almost ;-) always tell us when the parties are there, so we will inform you about it. In our own home we have three cats, they walk through the garden, but they are not allowed to go into the apartment. You can pet them, but do not let them into the apartment and please do not feed them. Registration Details Exempt
