The space Welcome to The Happy Cow Cottage, a whimsical getaway where cow-themed charm meets breathtaking mountain views and golden sunrises. Nestled within the Mentone Mountain Escape tiny home community, this cozy getaway offers a heated pool, inviting firepit, and all the comforts of home in a tranquil mountain setting. ➤ Bedroom 1 (Main Floor) Relax in a queen bed with fresh linens, a quilt, and two pillows. Ample storage is provided by two closets with hangers. ➤ Bedroom 2 (Loft) This playful loft features two full beds, linens, quilts, and pillows, plus a small table and cozy floor poofs—ideal for relaxation or play. Note: This is not a walkable space. ➤ Living, Dining & Kitchen The open-concept living area is designed for comfort and connection. Cook in the fully equipped kitchen with modern appliances, electric stove, oven, microwave, and both drip & Keurig coffee makers (starter supplies provided). Enjoy meals or work at the kitchen island (seats 2), then unwind with WiFi, a TV with DVD player, or classic board games. ➤ Bathroom A full shower with towels, washcloths, and starter essentials. ➤ Outdoor Space Relax on the covered porch and take in mountain, sunrise, and 'happy cow' views. Unwind by the wood burning solo stove firepit, with firewood provided, or take a dip in the heated pool (heats like a hot tub) while watching the hills glow at sunset. For a great meal outdoors, there’s a charcoal grill (charcoal not provided) located to the left of the porch. ➤ Location Set within the Mentone Mountain Escape community, enjoy access to shared amenities like community firepits, a dog park, and open fields with mountain views. Just 4 miles from Downtown Mentone, you’re close to shops, restaurants, and attractions such as DeSoto Falls and Lookout Mountain. For groceries, Fort Payne, AL offers Walmart, Food City, and Bruce’s Foodland, while Mentone Market has quick essentials like eggs, milk, pizza, and grab-n-go items. • 15 min to DeSoto Falls • 25 min to Little River Canyon National Preserve • 15 min to DeSoto State Park • 5 min to Mentone Arts Center • 5 min to Mentone Market Breathe in the fresh mountain air, watch the cows graze, and unwind at The Happy Cow Cottage—a perfect blend of nature and comfort in the heart of Mentone. Guest access Guests have access to the entire home during their stay as well as the Mentone Mountain Escape community's common areas with fire pits and the dog park. Parking on the private gravel driveway. Other things to note ➤The Happy Cow Cottage is near a farm, so occasional farm smells may be present. ➤The home is part of the Mentone Mountain Escape, a scenic tiny home community. ➤ Starter kitchen and bathroom essentials are provided, but guests will need to supply disposables and restock items for the duration of their stay. ➤ Pets allowed with $50 fee per stay. Max 2 dogs under 60 lbs (pre-approval for larger). No cats or aggressive breeds. Keep pets off furniture, clean up after them, and crate if left alone. ➤ Exceeding maximum occupancy is not permitted. ➤ No third-party bookings (must book under your own account). ➤ No parties, events, smoking, vaping, marijuana use, or open flames (candles, incense, sage). ➤ Quiet hours begin at 10:00 pm. Please keep noise to a minimum.
