The Old Colony Beach/Neighborhood is a private beach. Located on Long Island Sound in Old Lyme, CT, this beach community has quick access to New York City, Boston, some of the largest casinos in the world and many seaside attractions. Old Colony Beach is a community with a pristine beach and many family activities during the summer months. The community spirit continues to be the foundation that makes our Beach/neighborhood a fun place to be from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Some of the summer activities enjoyed are; sand castle contests, ice cream socials, evening musical concerts on the beach, an annual dinner on the beach, morning socials on the beach, sand volleyball, fishing, boating and many other activities for the family. Families can enjoy many outdoor activities in Old Lyme by visiting the Long Island Sound, the Connecticut River, recreational areas, and state parks. Hikers of all abilities have a choice of trails and nature walks, from the wide, flat-surfaced loop through Elizabeth Karter Watch Rock Nature Preserve to the rugged Lohmann-Buck-Twining Preserve, which culminates in a spectacular view of Long Island Sound. There's kid-approved fishing at Rogers Lake and Uncas Pond, crabbing off the pier at Ferry Landing State Park, and birdwatching on Goose Island. Rocky sand and good swimming make Sound View Beach a popular destination. This beach house and location is conveniently located near Mystic Aquarium, Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun Gaming Resorts, Clinton Crossing Premium Outlets, Clinton Antiques Center and Chamard Vineyards. Parking at 54 Swan Avenue offers parking up to 4 vehicles. House rules: Here are a few key items to make sure your Vacation is what you expect! * Since this is a fun and quiet family neighborhood, we cannot accommodate large parties/ groups under age 21. Please enjoy the deck, backyard, but outdoor activities should be kept quiet after 10 pm. *Since this is our beach home, we expect guests who stay, to treat it with respect and care. Any damage or stolen items will be charged to the guest after inspection. *Events are limited up to 10 total attendees, including the guests in the home. Small gatherings for birthdays, anniversaries, work retreats, yoga/spiritual retreats as well as short & long-term renters. *There is no smoking/ vaping of any kind in the house or anywhere on the property please. Evidence of any form of smoking may result in immediate eviction and an additional $200 cleaning fee will be charged. *Standard Check in is after 10am and Check-out is by 11am If we can accommodate an early check in or late check out we will let you know, but we cannot guarantee it as there may be guests leaving/ arriving before or after you and the cleaners need time to prepare the home to be in tip top shape for other guests as well as for you! *Though there is a cleaning service, we kindly request you leave the home in the condition/ cleanliness you found it.
