Huckleberry Hideaway
Huckleberry Hideaway
Description
Come relax at our charming cabin on the Skykomish River. Built in 1963, it has a huge deck and fire pit that overlook the river. Sitting in the hot tub you’ll have a panoramic view of Heybrook Ridge. On warm nights you can open windows and fall asleep to the sound of the river below. And walking out the back door takes you straight into the national forest. With tons of local hiking trails and swimming holes, Huckleberry Hideaway is the perfect spot to explore the Cascades! The space There are two comfortable bedrooms rooms with a full and a king size bed. In the living room there’s a comfy couch that folds out into another bed. The living room looks out over the river below the cabin. On chilly nights there’s a wood stove to warm up. Outside is a huge deck with a charcoal bbq. Below that are steps leading down to a bench on the bank of the Skykomish river. And out back our property backs up to Mt Baker National forest. There’s a private trail leading to a beautiful spot along Philadelphia Creek. Guest access You’ll have private access to the entire property. Please be mindful that the cabin is located in a private community. We ask that you respect the neighbors and posted private property/no trespassing signs. Other things to note Directly across the dirt road is a trail head with a “no trespassing” sign. This is our property too, so ignore the sign. The trail is 5 minutes long and leads to a secluded spot along Philadelphia Creek. If you’re interested in exploring some local swimming holes or our favorite hikes, check out our guide book! The cabin is dog friendly but the property is not fully fenced. There is a $25 pet fee and a limit of two dogs.
