This family-friendly, ranch-style home offers 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, and an outdoor shower, with no stairs for easy access. Enjoy our large, fenced backyard—perfect for kids, dogs, or playing games! We’re dog-friendly and love having your furry friends stay with us. Kids will love the indoor play kitchen, toys, games, and a fun custom mural. Baby gear is provided, including pack n plays, baby monitors, a high chair, and a kid’s potty. Plus, we’ve recently added an outdoor playhouse! Step outside to the cozy screened porch for a relaxing space, and gather around the fire pit to enjoy evening chats under the stars. Two adult bikes with helmets and locks are included for your enjoyment. Located just 0.7 miles to the beach, you’re also only 1 block from the ICW. Walk to Middleton Park (0.5 miles) for seasonal events, concerts, and farmers markets! Enjoy a sweet treat with a walk to grab donuts or coffee nearby, and explore local restaurants and shops. Linens and towels are included; please bring your own beach towels. Our fully stocked kitchen and laundry facilities ensure you’ll have everything you need. Starter packs of paper towels, toilet paper, and laundry pods are provided, but you may need to bring extras depending on your stay. While we are a kid-friendly rental, please note our home is not fully baby-proof. Some toys may not be suitable for children under 3, and cabinets are not locked (but we provide a baby gate). We can’t wait to welcome you to Sweet Hideaways—your perfect family retreat! Guest access Entire house with exception of owner closet and cleaning closet. Other things to note Dogs may be permitted, pending host approval. Please advise of dogs attending. No other pets permitted due to owner allergies. A $200 pet fee is applied (prior to taxes and fees). Long term off season (Nov- Feb) rentals will be discounted. Please message me to discuss. Firewood and starter are not provided. Routine maintenance may be required during your stay. These include Lawncare and pest control. They will need access to the exterior of the home however with your consent, pest control may spray inside. Accepting the reservation is agreement for these services to be performed. Our property is located in the wooded section of Oak Island. You may see or encounter wildlife while in our neighborhood and/or the surrounding areas; including but not limited to: deer, alligators, foxes and other native wild animals, snakes, frogs, birds, bees, wasps, flies, mosquitoes, spiders, fire ants, crickets, water bugs/roaches, or roly poly's to name a few. These creatures reside in nature. We routinely treat for pests in and around the home to reduce the incidence of bugs, however, we cannot control Mother Nature and therefore, do not refund if you encounter her business during your stay. To help deter the roaches and ants, please clean up after dining outside, keep doors and windows closed and avoid leaving food open on counters for extended periods of time. Please note that trash is collected once a week. Depending on the timing of your stay, the outside bins may already contain trash from previous guests until the next scheduled pick-up. A service will handle moving the bins to the curb the evening before collection and returning them afterward. We appreciate your understanding and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Please note we do not provide refunds for weather, bugs or smells. It is encouraged to purchase trip insurance for your stay.
