On a private, wooded lot this A-frame is perfectly located in the year-round Wintergreen Resort. We’re a 15-20 minute walk to the main ski lodge, restaurants, and market. In the winter months you can enjoy a view of the mountain ranges as you relax by the wood stove in the two-story great room. During warmer seasons enjoy a hike on the nearby trails, a swim in the outdoor pools, or a picnic on the front deck. New AC window unit installed in living room July ‘22. Formerly The Dalldorf Astoria The space The house features solid hickory wood floors, newer stainless steel appliances, a custom concrete countertop, 50" flat screen smart tv, and wireless internet. Sheets, towels, utilities and firewood are provided free of charge. Dogs may be allowed by prior agreement only; extra fees apply. UPPER FLOOR: There is a private bedroom with a queen-size bed and a private bathroom with a walk-in shower in the enclosed loft area. This room features a vaulted ceiling and beautiful views. MAIN LEVEL: There are 2 private bedrooms and 1 full bathroom (with shower/tub) on the main level. One bedroom features a queen bed. The other has two twin beds and a TV with a pre-programmed mini Nintendo. Guest access Guests have seasonal access to two resort outdoor pools from 2-6pm and tennis a short drive away from the house (1 pool on the mountain, one in the valley by the tennis court). If golf is your sport, you can enjoy a round roughly 15 minutes away in the Stony Creek neighborhood of Wintergreen. Trout fishing and access to Wintergreen Spa services are also available. Lots of nearby hiking, including a trail right from White Oak Drive. The Appalachian Trail is a very short drive, as are many hikes along the Blue Ridge Parkway. Great breweries/cideries/distilleries/wineries and incredible food all within a half hour. Other things to note As you plan your trip to the mountains, please remember we do get rain, snow, ice, some foggy days, and some occasional inconveniences which are out of our control. Winter weather in the Blue Ridge Mountains can occur from November through April. The mountain roads can be icy and could be dangerous in winter weather. For the safety of you and your party, please be prepared to drive in snow and/or ice during these months. This means 4-wheel drive/AWD, good tires, and/or chains. We cannot give refunds due to weather. Pets are permitted only when arrangements are made prior to booking.
