Piper's Place is a lovely historic home located in the Emerald Hill District directly across from APSU, 1 block to F&M Arena and walkable to ❤of DT. Apt D is on the 2nd floor and is accessed at the top of the exterior staircase. There is plenty of room to spread out in this home-away-from-home. Enter into a fully equipped alley kitchen, curl up on the comfy couch to watch tv or enjoy a great book and relax in the spacious bedroom with sitting area and desk space. Also, the F&M Arena is a block away and Austin Peay University is across the street. Take the opportunity to stroll down to Franklin Street and Strawberry Alley where there are several outstanding restaurants, bars, and fun locally owned shops. Don’t miss the River Walk just down the hill along the Cumberland River. Historic! This home was built in 1900. Although we have updated many things, the deep dark colors are true to the Victorian era. Fascinating History! This house was known as “The People’s House” in the 70’s and later transitioned to serving as a Christian Boy’s Home for a period of time. You can read more about it in our Welcome Packet! Space! The over-sized bedroom includes a Queen bed, desk, and loveseat, and the Living Room / Dining Room with sleeper sofa provides ample space to relax and enjoy your stay! Notes about the Property: * Galley Kitchen-fully equipped, including refrigerator, small oven and stove top; enjoy the granite countertops! * 2nd floor entrance (15 steps) * Fast wifi internet service * Smart TV for guests to enjoy their favorite streaming services * Shared Closet in Entry Landing that has vacuum, yoga mats, exercise bands, extra blankets, and iron. * If you need more space or have a larger group, consider renting Apartment C as well which is the neighboring 2-bedroom; 1-bath apartment that sleeps 5. STRU PERMIT #126 Guest access Apartment D is a private spacious 1 bedroom, living room, kitchen and bathroom. Additionally, you are welcome to use the washer and dryer that are located on the first floor at the bottom of the inside steps off the landing outside your door. This is a shared space so please keep the laundry area neat and tidy. Other shared spaces are the grill and firepit. The front porch is for the guests in Apartment A. We provide a starter supply of shampoo, conditioner, soap, tp, paper towels, coffee and cream. Other things to note Parking: You may park along Marion Street or behind the house on either side of the garage (accessed from the rear alley). Please do not block the garage doors. We provide a starter supply of shampoo, conditioner, soap, tp, paper towels, coffee , cream, and trash bags. If you have a trip longer than 3 days, please plan to bring these supplies.
