For anyone who intends to have a party, disturb the neighborhood, or in any other way violate our house rules, we want to make clear that: We have a zero-tolerance policy for this. We have noise sensors that alert us if decibel levels pass a certain threshold, and we have unfortunately had to ask guests to leave for violating this rule. Being a good neighbor of the city and the block we are on is very important to us. We have sensors to detect indoor smoking (nicotine and marijuana) and have an automatic $750 fine for violations, and have also had to ask guests to leave early for violating this rule. Parking _____________ Our driveway can fit 2 - 4 cars and we have free street parking for any extra space needed! While the house does have a garage, it's not available to guests. Entry _____________ The house is fully accessible via a YALE smart lock at the front door and on the garage access door. To access the house, enter the code we provide in your reservation check-in instructions, and press the CHECK to unlock. When leaving, enter that same code followed by the CHECK mark and the deadbolt will close. The locks will also auto-lock after one minute if you forget to lock. Extra Sleeping Arrangements _____________ Air Mattress: Designed for camping, our air mattress is extra-sturdy and provides a wonderful sleeping space for two. To inflate, please plug in the pump and wait for it to charge. Once the light on it is solid (not blinking), unplug the pump, insert the end into the air mattress, and flip the switch to inflate. Our Neighborhood _____________ This house is perfectly located for access to downtown Pinckney as well as Whitmore Lake, Howell, Brighton, and Ann Arbor. The house is also only a twenty-five-minute drive to Michigan Stadium so for those football games and other UM events, we're a hop, skip, and a jump away! We are also a 1-hour drive to downtown Detroit and roughly 45 mins to Detroit Metropolitan Airport (DTW)! Since we’re in a quiet neighborhood, we do ask that you follow a few easy rules: - No parties & no overnight guests without prior approval. If you’re looking to host a small gathering, that’s probably ok but please let us know. - Respectful, quiet volume, particularly after 9 pm. - Please leave your shoes at the door. - No pets please, as many of the guests we host have allergies. - No smoking - also, don't discard your cigarettes in house trash cans. They get stinky. - If you break or damage something, please let us know and arrange for its replacement or repair. - Do not leave any food out that will attract uninvited pests. Our home is pest-free and we intend to keep it that way with your help. - NO fireworks allowed Getting Around _____________ While access to public transportation is not easily available from our house, UBER and LYFT run consistently in the area and are quick, cheap, and accessible options to get anywhere in the Ann Arbor/Whitmore Lake/Howell/Metro Detroit areas!
