Each yurt contains a gloriously comfortable double bed and can be fitted with additional single beds to sleep up to five. Each yurt has it's own outdoor seating area with fire pit and barbecue, so you can sit back and watch the stars while soaking up the peace and quiet of the countryside. We provide logs and newspaper and firelighters so you have everything you need for an amazing fire. We do ask that if you want to play music you keep it quiet, particularly after 10pm. Communal facilities are a short walk away, including loos and hot showers, a kitchen area with cooker and fridge-freezer. We have six shower rooms with hot showers, flushing loos and heated towel rails a short walk from your tent, plus a washing up area with hot running water. We try to keep things green, so the generator that powers the showers goes on at 7am and runs until 9am. The showers are also available in the evenings by request between 5pm until 7pm, just let one of the team know and we’ll be happy to turn the generator on for you. We will provide lanterns and tea lights inside the tents as well as rechargeable torches which are available in the barn, but we recommend bringing a torch if you have one (who doesn’t love a head torch, let's be honest). There are lots of places to charge phones and laptops if required in the communal barn. The site nestles in acres of beautiful private countryside and there are lots of walks you can take around our lake and woodlands, including our 100 Oak Wood. We also have a kid’s play fort in the woods, croquet lawn, plus plenty of open space to play football, rounders or frisbee, and there’s a badminton set and ping pong table available for everyone's use. There are several nearby attractions and activities, such as London Elstree Aerodrome, Wembley Stadium Tour, Aldenham Country Park, Harry Potter World at Warner Bros Studio, A1 Shooting School, Lost Jungle Adventure Golf, Go Ape Trent Park, White Water Rafting, and South Medburn Equestrian Centre. Lots of our guests also visit us as the perfect springboard into London. Green Park Station, in central London, is less than half an hour on the tube from Stanmore (Jubilee Line), and provides the ideal spot to visit many major London sightseeing spots.
