Description

Nestled in a peaceful rural setting, our cabin is the ideal basecamp to explore western North Carolina. Just 10 miles from the charming towns of Hot Springs and Marshall-- also a scenic drive away from Asheville, NC! Guests love our fishing pond, private sauna, and frequent visits from local wildlife! Whether you're looking for a solo retreat, a romantic escape, or quality time with family, it's the perfect place to create lasting memories. We warmly welcome pets. The space Step into a rejuvenating retreat amidst the Appalachian Mountains, where the soothing rush of the creek lulls you to sleep. Our rustic yet modern cabin blends nostalgic charm with contemporary comforts.. One bedroom is equipped with a queen-size bed, while the second bedroom has 2 twins. You can hear the creek from both bedrooms. The fully equipped kitchen is stocked with modern appliances, ensuring a delightful cooking experience. While we don't have a dishwasher, the cabin is stocked with essentials. Feel free to use any leftover non-perishables, but please inspect before indulging as we can't guarantee their freshness. Tall guests, take note: our ceilings are charmingly low, adding to the cabin's character. Stay connected with high-speed fiber-optic internet while unplugging with Netflix, Hulu, Disney Plus, and YouTube on the TV. Embrace leisure time with our growing collection of board games, puzzles, and books. Get outside and immerse yourself in nature's beauty. Relax by the babbling brook, bask by the pond, sway in hammocks, or gather around the fire pit for s'mores and stories. The diverse flora and fauna promise sightings of deer and woodland creatures, alongside a fair share of bugs in the summer—don't forget the bug spray! The cabin is a gateway to outdoor adventures, from hiking and skiing to rafting and fishing. Take a scenic drive to the Laurel River Store for coffee or explore neighboring towns like Hot Springs and Marshall. And for city enthusiasts, Asheville is an easy, traffic-free 50-minute drive with an array of activities awaiting your arrival. Allow the seclusion of our rustic cabin to be your sanctuary, offering a quiet and remote refuge in the heart of Appalachia. Guest access While you are our guest the entire cabin and it's contents are yours to use. There is heat and air; however, if you want to use the wood stove to make the place extra cozy there will be wood to burn. We do ask that if you need a little lesson on how to use the wood stove, please don't hesitate to ask - a few tips can go a long way. There are a few maintained trails around the property for you to roam the woods and a small waterfall near the pond at the back of the property. Other things to note - HURRICANE HELENE has brought significant devastation to our mountain towns. We’re deeply grateful that our property remains unharmed and are open to welcome visitors. Thank you for supporting our communities as we work together to rebuild and recover. Your visit makes a difference! - Nature is abundant here, teeming with diverse flora and fauna, though if bugs aren't your thing, this might not be your ideal spot. - Families with kids, please do let us know! We'd love to gift your little explorers with our special Junior Ranger kit for added fun. - A heads up: Once off the main roads, cell service becomes quite scarce, so it's best to have directions printed out before your journey. - Another very crucial thing to note: Accessing this serene location and exploring nearby areas will require a car. The closest full grocery store is a pleasant 30-minute drive away.
