A 2 minute drive down the hill brings you to Kern River's public access areas, as well as historic downtown Kernville and all of its amazing options for dining and shopping. Other things to note During winter months, our home is heated with a combination of wood pellet stove and propane-powered central heat. We provide pellets for the wood stove. Please use the wood pellet stove before you turn on the central heat, as propane is very expensive in this area. Leaving bedroom doors open will help the wood pellet stove circulate heat into all areas of the home.
