SkyBarn on Rocky Knob - Views Relaxation Adventure

Relax with your family or friends at this peaceful retreat on top of Silverleaf at a whopping 4200’ elevation. Enjoy towering mountain views of Rich Mt. as you rest on our deck swing & rockers. Once well rested, take a hike on one of the many nearby trails or simply unwind in our hammocks nestled along the wooded yard. Finish your day soaking in the hot tub, roasting marshmallows in the fire pit, curling up by the gas stove or visiting our basement game room. The space Private, family-friendly mountain cottage near Boone NC and Banner Elk NC. Close to ASU, most tourist sites, hiking, fishing and skiing. Gas-log stove, incredible Mountain View’s, WIFI, multiple HDTVs, large basement game room, covered deck, fire pit and flat front yard perfect for the little ones to run around. Accommodates up to 10 guests with three queen beds, one twin with trundle, and two Aerobeds. A six-seat outdoor hot tub is located below our main deck in the side yard. ACCOMMODATIONS: Main level: Kitchen, den, first bedroom with queen, full bath with stand-up shower. Upstairs: Second bedroom with queen bed and twin Aerobed; Third bedroom with queen bed and twin bed with trundle; full bath (tub/shower combo). Basement: Newly renovated walk-out basement game room including HDTV, convertible air hockey/ping-pong table, Nintendo Classic with 30 games, board games, darts, skee ball, bar and refrigerator (for overflow drinks and snacks!). Also in the basement is a half bathroom, couch and a queen Aerobed for extra sleep spaces. Enjoy the views from this three-story, three-bedroom home with gas-log stove, fire pit and covered deck with rockers, huge couch, and porch swing. You will have complete privacy and yet convenience to Boone, Valle Crucis and Banner Elk. The home is decorated with cozy, mountain-modern furniture and all of the conveniences of home (including spices for cooking, toiletries you may have forgotten and extra cleaning supplies). After hiking one of the nearby trails, exploring shops in nearby towns or taking in a game at ASU, enjoy making dinner in the fully-stocked kitchen or on the gas-grill just outside on the wrap-around porch. After dinner relax with the family on the cozy sectional couch or stargaze around the firepit. Should you need to get a little work done, the home is equipped with WIFI, and two desks tucked away in each upstairs bedroom. Traveling with young children? We’ve got you covered with a Pack ‘n Play, space saver high-chair, baby gate, children’s books, and even a baby monitor! Our home is the perfect getaway whether you want to spend time with friends, reconnect with family or just disconnect for a bit. *Enjoy cool mountain breezes at 4200+ feet elevation. The SkyBarn on Rocky Knob does have window unit air conditioning during the summer months only **All linen and towels included- 1 washcloth, hand, bath towel per guest *** AWD/4WD is recommended. If your vehicle is not AWD/4WD, then stay on the outside of the curves and accelerate slightly to get up the steeper part of Rocky Knob Road. Be sure to drive slowly at the base of the mountain to respect our neighbors on the less steep portion of the mountain. During the winter, in case of snow or ice, AWD/4WD AND CHAINS are absolutely required. We also recommend arriving for the first time during daylight to familiarize yourself with the roads. PET POLICY: We allow pets 30 lbs. and under. Must receive approval. Pets will require additional $50 cleaning fee and may require a $250 pet security deposit (security deposit refunded upon approved inspection after checkout). Guest access Our home is located in the gate-accessed Silverleaf community. The roads in Silverleaf are gravel and can be steep in areas (especially the last .3 miles to the SkyBarn!). Once you get to our driveway, accessing the home is a breeze. We have parking for at least 3 vehicles and is level with the front porch and front door. AWD/4WD is recommended. If your vehicle is not AWD/4WD, then stay on the outside of the curves and accelerate slightly to get up the steeper part of Rocky Knob Road. We are located at 4200 feet on top of Rocky Knob Road in the private Silverleaf Community. The community roads are gravel and steep in some areas, especially on Rocky Knob Road (.3 miles). In case of snow or ice, AWD/4WD AND CHAINS are absolutely required. We also recommend arriving for the first time during daylight to familiarize yourself with the roads.
