Pool! Waterfront! Nature Getaway on the island

This is Tree Frog Harbour House - a gem tucked away in the heart of Galveston. Ten minutes from everything in town, it is nestled between a private marina and wetland nature preserves. With three bedrooms, a spacious living room and kitchen, and large game room there is plenty of space for everyone. Laguna de Oro - Golden Laguna - is truly one of Galveston’s best kept secrets. Enjoy nature and gorgeous sunsets from a convenient, central location. The space Our family has chosen to make precious memories here in Galveston for years, and we are glad to be able to share our home with other families looking to do the same! This is a 3 bedroom/3 bathroom home. There is plenty of room for multiple generations, or multiple families to vacation together. As you lounge around this waterside home, you will find original paintings scattered about. Created by the homeowners, these paintings document the adventures of Ruby, one of the many beautiful tree frogs that can be seen jumping amongst the bamboo garden. Upstairs, the main suite has a spacious king bed with a full ensuite bath. A second room has a comfortable queen bed, and there is a nursery with a single, double, and full crib. These rooms all get great light, but are equipped with blackout curtains if you want to sleep in. There are a few toys for the little ones. If you have young artists, we encourage them to leave a picture on our children’s art wall! We have a pack and play upon request. There is a full bath off the main suite and another in the main hallway, and a third downstairs. The living room has a large screen television with cable and smart tv. There is also a game room with a big screen television with cable, smart tv, and plenty of space. The kitchen is fully stocked for all your cooking essentials with new dinner service for up to 12 people. We haven’t even got to the pool! The front of the house overlooks the beautiful nature preserve wetlands. Out the back a small private pool that goes from 3-5 feet, great to lounge in and cool off or to teach the littles how to swim. The pool is situated right on the edge of the marina so you have great views as you cool off. The large outside dock is perfect for lounging and listening to the waters while watching the pelicans dive for fish. Or you can cast a line and reel in some dinner. We have best luck with live shrimp! A great bait shop is just around the corner. Or bring a net and pull your own in from the wetlands. There are boat launches nearby if you want to tie off while you stay. Guest access You have access to the entire house. Laundry access is downstairs in unit, we provide a starter pack of paper products, soap, and detergents, so please plan accordingly. Other things to note You do have to climb stairs to get to the upper level. All bedrooms are on the upper level. OUR VACATION RENTAL PERMIT ONLY ALLOWS FOR THREE VEHICLES TO PARK. No street parking is available because of the nature preserve. All cars must be parked head in and completely on the drive way. If they are parked parallel to the street (even if the tires are completely on the driveway) the city will still ticket or tow. There are people who maintain the property that you might run into during your stay! The landscaping crew comes every 1-2 weeks and pest services come regularly. The pool is serviced generally on Tuesday mornings. We live adjacent to a nature preserve. It is great for bird and wildlife watching and unplugging from the hustle and bustle. We take every precaution to keep pests and animals off the property, but if the occasional bug venturing indoors, or the possibility of encountering raccoons, possums, or snakes in the neighborhood is unacceptable to you, Laguna D’Oro may not be the best vacation spot for you. Otherwise please come enjoy the small-town charm and beauty of Mother Nature, tucked next to these beautiful wetlands. **For the safety of you and local wildlife, please make sure all trash is fully in trash receptacles and that they are fully closed. POOL Pool hours are 8am-9pm. This neighborhood has many working folks and retirees, so we ask that you respect and honor their neighborhood while you are visiting. We love that the pool feels like an extension of nature. We have placed it right on the water and under a batch of beautiful bamboo that give you privacy while not loosing the natural beauty around you. We do have the pool professionally serviced, but because of its proximity to nature, leaves, bugs and other natural things find their way into the pool regularly. Please read and adhere to all Pool Rules before using. DOCK We love our large dock and know you will too. 18 ft x 30 ft is plenty of space for everyone to cast a line. This is our favorite spot to drink coffee in the morning while the sunrise bounces off the water. We do not generally use it for boating, but you are welcome to tie off if that suits you! Please read and adhere to all Pool Rules before using. Cameras Exterior cameras only are at each entrance and driveway, both for guests' and property's security. Cameras are no monitored but are motion activated and recording. Non-recording, decibel monitoring devices are in common spaces. Registration Details GVR-10334
