Welcome to Dream Acres a family/dog friendly mountain retreat on 10 acres that bask to national forest...providing an ideal backdrop for an intimate experience or large family getaway (sleeps 14+)! Loft excluded, the single-story property is child and limited-mobility friendly as the entire cabin is accessible without any stairs/steps & sports a wrap-around deck with two covered patios. We’ve worked hard to ensure you enjoy this escape as much as we do! Please be advised that that the loft bedroom is open to the living room below and the bunk bed room has a partition separating it from the living room, and serves as a pass-through to the Master. =) Guest have access to all of the cabin and property with exception of the stand-alone 2 car garage. We are available 24/7 via phone for our guests. We also have help/support that is local in case of urgency/emergency. Home is on private 10 naturally landscaped acres & backs to national forest. As such there are almost no neighbors (only two houses on 1/4 mile gated private driveway). This means it's likely you won't see/hear any neighbors...just nature. Please be advised the 10 acres we sit on is not for any type of off-road use. Due to the record-breaking snowfall, between the extremely soft ground & snowplow, our outer fencing (aside from two gates getting repaired July 3rd, there isn't impact to the fencing surrounding the cabin in that one acre) has taken quite a hit and we are scheduling someone to repair it in early July. Currently with parts of it down, it allows free-range cattle to access it) The driveway is in need of some love. Both are scheduled to be returned to pre-winter condition, but we are working that between guest and company schedules as many ppl have been getting driveway repair up here. We do however back to the Kaibab National Forest and have a trail to the forest trails right off our back gate. There you will find hundreds of miles of forestry roads/trails great for hiking and car/off-road use. Due to Airbnb's limited character space, we have put snow related details in this section. While a mountain cabin in the winter is a special experience, during snow season we recommend at the least bringing chains, just in case weather drops a lot of snow on way up or back down, and of course 4x4 or AWD is preferred. That being said, we pay to have our driveway (one-third of a mile) plowed the morning you check-in & check-out if there is more than 3” of fresh snowfall. If there is snow on a non-check-in/out day and you want the driveway plowed, I can provide the number for who we use, they provide the best rates and can typically get out next day…sometimes same day. Be advised we schedule the driveway to be plowed in advance based on weather forecast...and do our best to anticipate guest’s needs…yet cannot control weather and are also subject to things out of our control. Our driveway connects to paved city-maintained roads, but please drive safe in Winter conditions at all times. There is room to park multiple cars, rvs, toy haulers...etc...You can bring your bike, UTV, Side by side, or hike/walk/drive to get around. We provide no transportation. Dogs are the only pets allowed (with per pet fee) as owners have cat allergies. We haven't yet updated the photos yet but soon will be to reflect that there are no longer Nerf guns at the property.
