The condo is located in an older complex with multiple upgrades, and is super close to downtown: Everything in the downtown vicinity is 2 miles away and less than a $10 Uber! - Convention Center - Rainey Street - 6th Street - Lady Bird Lake And you hoof it only 4 miles to the following: - University of Texas - Barton Springs and other swim holes - Zilker Park - Moody Center is less than 10 mins away! And when you're done but probably not ready to leave the lovely city of Austin yet, you're only 7 minutes from the airport! Walking distance to numerous eateries, 7-11 and a liquor store one block east on Oltorf. The exterior of the building is nothing to write home about and the area is gentrifying, and reflected in the terms. Gentrification is complete and neighborhood development continues to move East and South toward the condo as you see one block north on Burton. The area is a kitchy, funky mix of old and new, that reminds me of the Lower East Side of Manhattan, with remodels and new builds coming further south every day. Please note this is not suburbia. Other things to note This is an up-and-coming neighborhood and still gentrifying, and reminds me very much of the Lower East Side of Manhattan. Guests consistently note the intersection of price and proximity to the pulse of the city, with the local character reflected in the price. Please be respectful of neighbors. Check-in is at 3pm or later, and we ask that guests please remember to take trash out to the dumpster, which are conveniently located at the corners of the parking lot.
