Come visit Pine Point! This beach house is steps away from the ocean for swimming, a marsh for kayaking, and many seasonal restaurants. It is an ideal vacation location; set up well for multiple families with a separate "kid zone" complete with beds, tv and games. Dogs will also want to tag along to enjoy the fenced in yard and morning beach walks. Short trolley to Old Orchard Beach and only a 20 minute drive to Portland’s airport, restaurants, and breweries. Many amenities including fenced yard, outdoor shower (a guest favorite in reviews), two refrigerators (think beverage fridge), bedroom mini split air conditioners, and so much more! If you need to work while away there is a basement desk set-up and one of the bedrooms has a small desk area. Kayaks, clamming equipment (just get the day pass), beach toys and chairs, bocce and corn hole are all available for you to use. And with a washer and dryer you can pack light and clean clothes as you need. A new comfy couch is the latest upgrade to end 2023. We don't provide sheets and towels as many guests prefer to bring their own and this allows us time to focus on exchanging and washing quilts, blankets, floor/bath mats and hand/dish towels between guests. Please note the 2 kings and queen are pillow top mattresses so they work best with deep pocket fitted sheets. While summer is amazing, the off season boasts many benefits. Beach walks in winter can yield lots of big shell finds and with Portland only 20 minutes away there is a lot to explore close by. Come stay any season and check it out for yourself! The house is all yours to enjoy. The neighborhood is ideal for walking to the beach the marsh and restaurants. During the summer, take the trolley to Old Orchard Beach or any season drive 20 minutes for all that Portland has to offer. Plenty of driveway parking available at the house. Self check-in via keypad on arrival. You should have everything you need at the house but we are happy to answer questions and make recommendations before or during your stay. This neighborhood (seasonally) boasts several restaurants within walking distance. Stern's is at the end of the street, Bayley's Lobster Pound/The Bait Shed is across the street and Salty Bay Seafood Take-Out/The Tavern around the corner. The house is a few streets from EBC pizza, The Garage BBQ and The Clambake. These restaurants open around April/May and close in October typically. The Clambake is open for the season (mid-March) Thursdays to Sundays. Great fried seafood at the order counter for eat-in or take-out in walking distance! Pine Point Grille and Dunstan Tap and Table are a quick drive and open all year. The food and drinks at both should not be missed! Nostalgic beach paths take you directly to the beach or go to the end of the street to watch the lobster boats and access the marsh. Use the kayak carts and bring the kayaks a few houses away to the end of the street where you can launch into the marsh for easy paddling. The house has driveway space for 6+ cars and the neighborhood is highly walkable. The house is equipped with a level 2 electric vehicle charger The "kid zone" is a pass through to the master bedroom on the second floor. While there is a door to shut for privacy from the first floor, the upstairs master guests must walk through it to enter their room. It features many beds (bunk with double and twin, a second double bed and second twin bed) as well as a tv, couch, plenty of games, books and activities to keep kids entertained after a beach day. Regarding dogs, if you are planning to bring yours (they have a great time too) please make sure you add the “pet fee” to your pricing. Thanks! We provide bowls, bags, couch blankets, dog shampoo and dog towels. The outdoor shower has a detachable head perfect for rinsing off your pup after a beach run. Off season dogs are welcome (even off leash) on the beach anytime. During summer they are welcome on the beach before 9 am and after 5 pm. There are posted signs for hours and areas restricted due off leash dogs due to bird nestlings in the dunes.
