Located in the heart of the 'old' district of Torregrotta, the house is spacious, comfortable, fully restored and air-conditioned. It is at the end of a small alley in which there are 3 houses. Located near local shops & bars and just 3 km from the sea, this Sicilian house that can comfortably accommodate 8 people has a beautiful private heated pool (heated for an extra fee). Fast internet (fiber) is accessible throughout the house and pool. The space The house will allow you to enjoy a beautiful view of the mountain village of San Pier Nicetto while being close to small local shops and supermarkets, bars, artisans... The house has been tastefully furnished and new quality materials and equipment. The house comprises 4 distinct spaces: A. The main building: Ground floor: **1 double bedroom (Convertible into 2 single beds) & 1 sink in the bedroom, 1 small shower room & toilet separate from the bedroom and located right next door. 1st Floor: ** 1 family suite including 1 double bedroom with 1 smart TV, 1 private bathroom, 1 living room where there is a sofa convertible into a sofa bed for 2 people, 1 smart TV and 1 desk area ** 1 double bedroom with TV and direct access to the solarium on the roof Rooftop: Hut housing a small private living room adjoining a bathroom with atypical toilet that will surprise you and has a beautiful view. B. The secondary building: ** Overlooking the pool, living space usually used during the day and including 1 large fully equipped kitchen & 1 living room (with American fridge, wine fridge, dishwasher, smart TV, WII game), toilet area & washing machine. **Terrace with electric solar tent, beautiful large outdoor table for 12 people and a designer living room (60 m2). The living area is located directly opposite the main building. This makes the house atypical and gives it a unique and very holiday character. C. The swimming pool area: Secure space and including 1 terrace of 35 m2 with 1 large living room under the hut and swimming pool (1.40 m deep), bathroom with shower, sink and toilet, outdoor shower, storage space & dryer, 8 deckchairs available. D. The studio located near the pool: For groups of at least 7 people, the studio/beautiful 4th bedroom of 25 m2 is available at no extra cost. Completely renovated and air-conditioned, it has a double bed, bathroom, dining area & kitchenette (high table, 2 bar chairs, sink, microwave, induction cooktop & fridge) and a Smart TV. For groups of less than 7 people, the studio can be rented at the price of €40/day all in. The neighbors are nice and helpful! You'll run into them when they get home. They are very discreet and will be at your disposal for any questions or small technical problems. They can also prepare small local dishes if you would like to discover Sicilian cuisine (at an extra cost). Everything has been designed to bring you comfort, pleasure and to make you feel as good as at home but with the vacation side as well! Modern furniture while maintaining a local touch. Games to entertain you (Wii, multi-game table with foosball, scooters, etc.),... The pool with a depth of 1.40 m everywhere, open from May to October is heated (for an additional €10/day) and equipped with a canvas to maintain a pleasant temperature. The living room is conveniently located near the pool under a bioclimatic pergola to allow you to rest, read, sleep, and have an aperitif. At your disposal: 1 large & 1 medium bath towel, 2 beach towels per person. If needed, you can request additional bed sheets or bath towels during your stay. For families, a child bed, 1 baby monitor, 1 small children's bathtub and baby games are also available Guest access We advise you to land in Catania in case you come directly to the house or if you plan to leave the house for your return (allow 1h30 from the airport). If not, in case of a tour, all airports are possible. We have many guests who land in Palermo. There are often many more flights and it is a great opportunity to visit Palermo and Cefalù before coming to the house. Torregrotta train station is located +/- 1.5 km from the house. Car is recommended. Other things to note The area is very authentic and representative of Sicilian life. There are few tourists except in the high season. The entertainment venues closest to the house are between 3 and 5 km away. Venetico is very lively in the evening. There are play areas for children and a small outdoor fitness area. In Fondachello, you'll find the tennis and padel club. The must-see tourist sites in the region are the Aeolian Islands, Capo di Milazzo with the Venere pool, Tindari, Capo d'Orlando, Taormina, Giardini Naxos, Messina & Dinnammare, the Alcantara Gorges... There are also many small mountain villages +/-15' from the house: San Pier Niceto, Monforte San Giorgio, Roccavaldina, Rometta, Novara di Sicilia... So we have the pleasure of the sea and the mountains, no traffic jams to get there or worries about parking, the locals are warm and welcoming, and life is cheaper there!
