Little Blue, named because it's surrounded by wild blueberries, is situated just steps from the Jocassee Wilderness Area listed by National Geographic as 9th out of “50 of the World's Last Great Places.” It's located on the property of Heart Ridge Retreat Center. Guests will have access to all the retreat center grounds which includes a well-stocked lake (bring your rod). It's also centrally located to many trails, waterfalls, state parks, and lakes. The space Little Blue has its own firepit with provided wood. There is no TV or internet. (Cell service is still pretty good.) If you are looking to get away to a quiet spot, to create, or just relax, this is your place. You can sit on a rocking chair on the front porch or in the Florida room on the back. We have 2 other rental properties available nearby on the retreat center, Honeysuckle and Greenbrier, if you want to come with some friends. Guest access You will be able to access all parts of Little Blue. You will also have access to all outdoor 37 acres of the Heart Ridge Retreat Center Property and the thousands of acres of the State Forest adjacent to the property--literally steps away. Other things to note This is on a Christian Retreat Center. There may be other activities going on during your stay, but this property is located a good distance away and shouldn't be affected.
