There's lots more to do out of it including :- Fawley Village - 0.1 Miles Fawley village offers a range of amenities, including Chinese takeaway, Indian Takeaway, The Falcon Inn which has live bands and themed nights frequently. Also the village hall where you can enjoy a game of squash Fawley Enclosure - 0.1 Miles Fawley enclosure boasts of bridleways and pathways which can leave you bird watching/dog walking or just enjoying the views for hours. There is also fishing lakes nearby. Ashlett Creek - 0.4 Miles Ashlett Creek is an attractive little harbour with the Jolly Sailor pub serving great food with a great view. Often referred to as one of the hidden gems of the Solent. Calshot Beach and Activity Centre 1.9 miles Calshot Activities Centre offers a wide range of exciting water and land based activities, for all abilities and ages throughout the year, either indoors within the historic hangars which accommodate a climbing complex, an indoor velodrome and a dry ski slope or outdoors on land or the water. Beaulieu Village - 4 Miles Whether it's enjoying a riverside picnic, exploring the charming High Street or visiting the incredible motor museum, the village of Beaulieu provides a great day out. Situated at the head of the tidal Beaulieu River, the village dates back to the 13th century. Hythe Market Village 2.7 Miles The village of Hythe nestles between the edge of the New Forest and Southampton Water, with its surrounding area known as ‘The Waterside’. An ideal place to visit, Hythe with its waterfront, boasts fantastic views across Southampton Water, and especially of the majestic cruise liners which come into the Port most days. The village centre with pretty Georgian High Street offers a good range of interesting shops and services, with ample parking and pleasant traffic-free precincts. There are plenty of places to eat and drink to suit all budgets, or enjoy traditional fish and chips on the sea front Promenade, with its raised boardwalk and a hot Costa. Take a ride on the little train along Hythe’s historic Pier, which is over 130 years old, and catch the passenger ferry, which sails back and forth every half hour between Hythe and the city of Southampton. Visit on a Tuesday to see Hythe’s market and grab yourself a bargain. New forest National park 12 Miles Lymington 10 Miles The historic town of Lymington offers plenty for the visitor to do. This colourful coastal town is an ancient seaport with a rich maritime history. Situated on the west bank of the Lymington River, on the edge of the Solent, Lymington is a major yachting centre with three marinas. At the top of the High Street sits the Church of St Thomas. A church has been at this location since the mid-thirteenth century. With its strong maritime connections, it doesn’t come as a surprise to learn that Lymington was once famous for smuggling. The vicar of the Church of St Thomas once used to allow smugglers to store their contraband within the church’s tower. There is also Lymington Sea Water Baths with over 200m of insane inflatable fun. Great activities and facilities including Aqua Joisting, Hot Tubs, Childrens Splash Pool, Stand Up Paddle Boards,Confectionary Kiosk/Cafe, Toilets Changing Rooms and Showers. Lymington has direct links to the Isle Of Wight via Ferry.
