Welcome to 10 Victoria Street, located in the heart of the oldest city in Canada. This soulful, 1893 Victorian home will embrace you with a warm hug upon first entry, whispering "Welcome home". Your home is within short walking distances to incredible sights and vistas, along with delectable restaurants, hometown pubs and unique, fashionable shops. Witnessing the sunrise from the balcony, dipping into the hot tub, and basking in the glow of the fireplace will leave an indelible smile. The space The home - a 3 level home with views of St. John’s Harbour, Atlantic Ocean and Cabot Tower. A balcony off the 3rd level, a deck and backyard patio off the kitchen. A hot tub, BBQ, outdoor furniture and fire pit. Main Floor - Professionally decorated with high end amenities. The main floor includes a fully stocked kitchen, separate dining room and spacious living area. Sliding doors separate the dining room and living room which can be opened for a larger entertaining space. Dining room is decorated with wallpaper designed by local artist, Krista Power and art by local artist Anastasia Tiller The second floor - the unique, tasteful design continues upstairs to the 2nd floor which includes; Master Bedroom (Forest Room) - a Queen bed, high end linens, tastefully tied together with a decorative fireplace, wardrobe, desk and chair and a 3 piece ensuite all overlooking Victoria street and the infamous LSPU hall. 2nd Bedroom (Nautical Room) - has two Queen beds, a dresser and a wardrobe A library - shelves stocked with books about Newfoundland history and Human Consciousness, inspired by past guests, Elkhart Tolle and Wayne Dyer A laundry room - includes washer and dryer, iron and ironing board Bathroom - unobstructed views of downtown, Harbour, signal hill and the Atlantic Ocean. A shower, a large soaker tub and art by local artists. Local soaps created by Eastglow to enrich your experience. Third floor - a balcony with a table and chairs to enjoy the stunning views A living area with a sofa, TV with full service, a yoga mats and weights 3rd Bedroom - King size bed, high end linens, dresser and an en-suite 3 piece bathroom with a King size bed and a 3 piece ensuite bathroom. Parking - we have two parking passes for on street parking located in Zone 10, located directly across the street. The area - Located right downtown, steps from Duckworth Street, a block from Water street and two blocks from the Harbour. Less than a 10 minute walk to George street and many restaurants and attractions and shops Sites to see (all walking distance) - Rooms Museum, Signal Hill/Cabot Tower, 30 minute walk to Historic fishing village, Quidi Vidi. Steps to the LSPU hall. Surrounded by history dating back to the 1500’s, 10 Victoria Street was a home to either a former sea captain or banker, based on the layout and architecture of the house. The kitchen used to be the servants' quarters to serve the upper case home owners. During World War II, Victoria Street was at one point in time, a boarding house for British Soliders. Guest access The whole house is accessible to the guests except the basement.
