“Between Two Lakes” Cozy Van Island Getaway! w/AC!

Welcome to“Between Two Lakes”. Business licence #5030575. Our 2022 ICF house with touches of reclaimed 100+ year old Vancouver island wood features. We are situated minutes walk to Brannen Lake beach and 3 minute drive to Long lake. We are located in a residential neighbourhood and are close to all amenities and fun activities Nanaimo has to offer. Just minutes drive to Departure Bay ferry terminal and 20 minute drive to the Nanaimo airport and Duke Point Ferry terminal. The space Our guest house is 968 square feet of living space with 8” thick solid concrete exterior walls and 16 foot vaulted ceilings in the main living space. We have a fully supplied kitchen with full sized appliances (stove, fridge, microwave and dishwasher) for all of your cooking needs. The custom kitchen island is from our own Douglas fir tree that used to live in that exact spot it now resides. It's a beautiful feature that we hope our guest like and respect as much as we do. The living room has a large gas fireplace with a 65”LED TV mounted above the reclaimed mantle and a full size pull out couch for guests. The two bedrooms both feature new queen sized beds and 50” plasma TV’s mounted on the wall. There is a difference with the two bedrooms as one is the master with a walk in closet and half bathroom while the second is smaller but has a double closet. The main full bathroom has a double granite countertop sink vanity, toilet and tiled bath/shower. Outside has a large covered deck with a natural gas BBQ for guests to enjoy or just to relax. We asks guests to please enjoy their own space and their very own side yard with picnic table/chairs and umbrella, but not to wander too far around the rest property. There are walking and bike trails close by to explore and as well as the lakes. “Between Two Lakes” is a cool choice to relax during those hot summer days as it is cooled off with air conditioning from the heat pump, but is also a great choice to stay during the winter months as we are located a short hour and 20 minutes from beautiful Mount Washington for Skiing/ snowboarding/ tubing and site seeing. Come home and enjoy the beautiful cozy linear gas fireplace and radiant heated polished concrete floors throughout. Guest access There isn't any wheelchair accessibility to the guest house. Guests must be able to go up a couple stairs to access the house. There are side stairs off the deck that go to the side of the guest house. This is the area where guest can hang out as well as the front covered deck. Other things to note If you are wanting to bring a boat with you, we do have extra parking that could be available. You will have to contact us with the size of the boat to see if we will have enough space for it and your vehicle.
