There are multiple spaces for both seclusion and gatherings with loved ones. The large open plan kitchen, living room and dining room has vaulted ceilings, gorgeous views of the pool and jungle, and plenty of seating for large groups or intimate gatherings. Our smart TV has Hulu, Amazon, Netflix, and Disney Plus. Our wifi is top of the line, so you can also work remotely (it even covers the pool area;-) The kitchen has brand new appliances, lots of kitchen gadgets, and plenty of cookware. We can arrange a private chef to come to the home, or stock up at the local farmers market and cook for yourself in the brand new chef's kitchen. The dining room features a high end, custom made live-edge Guanacaste table, a dark and luscious wood that is the national tree of Costa Rica. The two bedrooms feature king sized, Tempurpedic beds and quality bedding. Additionally, there is a bunk bed nook for kids (or those young at heart!). Store your personal belongings in the beautiful matching armoires and nightstands. A remote controlled, A/C unit plus ceiling fans assure a comfortable night's rest. All three bathrooms have high-end marble. The master bathroom also features a large soaking tub. A beautiful private pool + deck and private outdoor dining area with couches, a massive fan, and outdoor lighting is the perfect place to spend your day elevated in the tree tops, watching the “monkey show” as the troops pass by in the afternoons. The home personifies indoor-outdoor living: massive sliders open into the pool area and jungle preserve from the living area to form one large room, opening the home to the outside rain forest. Each bedroom also has a “wall of windows” with large sliders that open to the pool and jungle preserve. Abundant recessed lighting (all LED, as this house was built in 2022, with ecological sustainability in mind!) throughout the home provide a soft comfortable glow for entertaining or relaxing. Our home is hands down one of the best places to see animals in all of Costa Rica. We border two preserves (one owned by us and accessible only to our guests, and the other owned by the GAIA), so your chances of seeing a very special creature every single day is exceptionally high. Many birds including toucans, three types of monkeys, sloths, iguanas and the majestic Blue Morpho butterfly call this area home. Because of the surrounding protected areas, you are also very likely to see the more rare animals, including Howler monkeys, Macaws, and other exotic birds. Your stay includes private access to an exclusive hiking trail. It is a truly magical place, and the perfect way to spend the morning exploring without the hustle and bustle (and cost or crowds!) of going to Manuel Antonio National Park. You have access to the entire villa, back and front yards, and adjacent private refuge, including hiking trails. You will have a dedicated concierge at your service to help you plan the vacation of your dreams. We can arrange a private chef, cleaning, and transportation services, and tours such as surfing, horseback riding, visits to the nearby national parks and hikes to the most amazing waterfalls. Our neighborhood is filled with locals and vacation rentals, and is one of the safest areas in the area. We are right off the main road to Manuel Antonio, which means its very easy to walk to dinner/shops, but you also aren't right in the middle of all the action so can enjoy peace and privacy. Our home borders two private reserves: one is 10 hectares and is dedicated to exotic birds, the other is owned by us, and can be used for your private exploration. Because of our location, our home is one of the BEST for animal spotting. Howler monkeys, Capuchin monkeys and Squirrel monkeys can be seen daily. Our property is also replete with Sloths, iguanas, Basilisks, toucans, and Macaws. We have two Macaws who have built their nest on our property. If you want to rent a car, we recommend a 4x4 for anywhere in Costa Rica, as many roads require them. The bus is a two minute walk, and taxis are everywhere. You can also walk easily to many places as we are right off the main road, so a car is not necessary if you want to save the expense. Driving and parking are very straightforward here. QUEPOS EXPRESS delivers everything from groceries to restaurant meals to hardware items directly to the home if you prefer to stay in and not drive. We can arrange from transportation to and from either San Jose or Quepos airport. Please read house rules very carefully. We have a strict cancellation policy and highly recommend purchasing trip insurance in this uncertain world. For your security, we have an exterior security camera system, which only covers external doors and windows. It's completely unmonitored / unviewed except in the case of a break in.
