Guided game drives (into the game park by 4x4), Zulu dancing, crocodile park, snake park and curios are all available next door at Phezulu Safari Park. They hold talks and courses from time to time on wildlife in our area, feel free to contact them and get involved in what they are hosting. We are midway on the Comrades Marathon route and we are well positioned for lots of other sporting events including:- rugby, football, cricket, cycling, sani-to-sea, iDube race track and the Dusi Canoe Marathon. Only 6 minutes drive to Kearsney College, making us an ideal stop-over for sports events. This property is superb as a base to explore the greater Durban and Pietermaritzburg area as well as the Midlands and Drakensburg. We are roughly halfway between Durban and Pietermaritzburg. We are the ideal base point before heading out to visit the battlefields of KZN. The Durban Beachfront is a little over 30 minutes drive. King Shaka International Airport is less than an hours drive. Tala Game Reserve is 30 minutes away. The Midlands Meander is a fantastic day out with lots to see, do, buy and eat. You will need to hire a car to get around. South Africa has brilliant roads. The road from the airport to the house is mostly highway and is about an hour’s drive. Our home owners association do not tolerate loud noise or parties, the ethos is a tranquil relaxing holiday in a secure environment. Please do not book if you have not read our house rules. All guests must be able to climb stairs. There are handrails up to the living area from the front door. There is no television. We are proud to say that we don’t offer TV. Here you are free of interference to enjoy each others company, watch the busy birds and our variety of wild animals from the elevated veranda.
