The Alley at North Beach *Bowling Alley & Pool*

Historic 5 Cedarwood Ave was originally constructed in 1910 as a library/bowling alley for Fort Screven on Tybee Island. The 2022 restoration of the building included 6 bedrooms, 4 full bathrooms, modern bowling lane with automatic ball return and pin setter in the middle of the rental space, white kitchen with Carrara marble counters, separate mini bar, in-unit laundry, a heated pool, private yard, there is also an on-site golf cart to rent. The space Historic 5 Cedarwood Ave was originally constructed in 1910 as a recreation office for Fort Screven on Tybee Island. Immediately adjacent to the Historic Tybee Barracks, 5 Cedarwood served as a bowling alley and library for the soldiers who resided at the Barracks. The 2021/22 restoration of the building included 6 bedrooms (2 master suites), 4 full bathrooms, the bowling lane in the middle of the rental restored, bright white kitchen with Carrara marble counters and island, separate mini bar, in-unit laundry, a heated pool, and private yard. There is also an on-site Golf Cart that is separately rentable per day (rentable days are 10 am to 10 am). The link to rent the golf cart will be sent when a reservation is made for the house. This is the perfect multi-family getaway tucked in the historic Barracks area of North Beach on Tybee for up to 14 people total. The spacious main master suite in front of the cottage boasts a large en-suite tiled bathroom, large closet, 50" Smart Tv, and tall ceilings. The bunk room is the perfect hideout and quiet spot for kids and teens to get away. You'll find the main great room with wide open kitchen, bowling lane, dining area, and massive smart TVs the perfect family gathering spot to bowl, watch movies and sporting events, and relax after a long beach day or dip in your private pool. The house has a second master suite with en-suite tiled bath tucked back in the corner which is a nice private retreat. Additionally, there are 3 more bedrooms on this side of the house; 2 queen bedrooms and a (2) twin bedroom. The side yard is where the outdoor fun happens! A sizable heated pool, lots of lounging space, a full bathroom, covered deck, and a commercial-grade ice maker are all amenities to make your Tybee stay complete. Pool Seasonality: The Alley Pool is open year-round. It is only heated on the following date range: October 1 – December 15 March 1 – May 30 The pool is not and will not be heated from December 15 through March 1 as the air temps are too cool to maintain an adequate swimming temp. Guest access The front/main door is outfitted with a Schlage smart lock that we will program with a unique code given to you 24 hours in advance. This allows for self check-in. This is a private whole-home rental with access to all property amenities. Other things to note The Fort Screven District is a Tybee Island local favorite. Located within walking distance from the shore, Fort Screven is rich in breathtaking sights and tons of history including the lighthouse, Tybee Island Museum and Officer's Row. Your view at this cottage will include historically protected oak trees and Jaycee Park. Jaycee Park is equipped with a basketball court, bike trails, picnic areas and a playground for the kids. This area is also home to a number of great casual dining spots like North Beach Bar and Grill and Huc-a-poos that bring local flavor, cold drinks and relaxation to your vacation. Pool Seasonality: The Alley Pool is open year-round. It is only heated on the following date range: October 1 – December 15 March 1 – May 30 The pool is not and will not be heated from December 15 through March 1 as the air temps are too cool to maintain an adequate swimming temp. The pool is cleaned and treated once a week. We skim it on your day of check in, otherwise the normal skimming and cleaning is up to the guest. We as owners and managers are happy to provide this fun amenity in the house and we work hard to maintain the functionality of the lane. Any damage to the lane or equipment will result in immediate cancellation of your stay and forfeiture of all monies paid, and fees to repair any said equipment will be assessed. *Any outage of the lane during your stay due to power outage, lane malfunction, equipment malfunction, etc, will not result in any refund of any monies whatsoever.*
