This 1905 Historic Old Bakery is the perfect location to create lifelong memories while exploring quaint New England. Set on 4 acres, with a lake, trails and golden rolling hills just minutes away, you’ll enjoy all of New England's beauty. Hiking, kayaking, antiques shopping or gallery visiting... it can all be done right here. But you don't have to go anywhere. The two fireplaces invite you to just stay, relax and enjoy the complimentary bottle of Prosecco. Follow us on Insta: @Old_Dorset_Farm The space This fully remodeled, light filled, 1900 sqft house includes spacious living, dining, and sleeping areas, a dedicated office space, a laundry room, and a back deck. Its layout is convenient, with two bedrooms only 3 steps up from the main floor. Two bedrooms have their own full bath and all bedrooms feature fresh, European style bedding. The twin beds downstairs have new green tea infused mattresses, while the sheets are manufactured by women-owned businesses. The guest toiletries are all natural and infused with essential oils. There is a guest half-bath downstairs. The fully equipped, large kitchen with spacious dining area makes it fun to cook and gather in, and the private back deck and small front patio are perfect for evening cocktails and al fresco meals! There is WiFi and a smart TV in the living room, and, just in case you want to disconnect from it all, a great selection of board games, puzzles, and books- for adults and kids alike. There is also a box with arts and crafts activities for children. Two functioning fireplaces, one in the kitchen and one in the living room, will bring a special ambiance to your evenings. To start you off, we will supply one deck box full of wood. After that, you are free to collect wood from the property yourself. Guest access The house is all yours! You are free to wander around on the grounds and enjoy nature's beauty. There are also several wooded trails just around the corner from the house. Lake Lillinonah is a short 2 minute car-ride away and has a public boat ramp where you can start your kayaking or any other water adventure. Other things to note There is ample parking space, with a dedicated parking bay close to the house and room on the round-about driveway.
