Cosy cottage near Ludlow with views over the hills

Welcome to Rosedale Cottage, a cosy retreat set in the scenic South Shropshire countryside, offering views of the picturesque hills in the peaceful hamlet of Richards Castle. Just a few miles from the vibrant market town of Ludlow, renowned for its medieval castle, markets, and year-round events and festivals, the cottage serves as an ideal base for walking, cycling, and exploring Shropshire. Alternatively, you can simply relax and take in the scenery of South Shropshire. The space You will come in through an open-plan conservatory/kitchen. The conservatory is flooded with natural light, making it the perfect place to relax and unwind whilst taking in the scenery. The conservatory takes you into our small kitchen, with hob, oven, and fridge/freezer but please note we do not have a microwave, as we are short on worktop space to store it The kitchen leads into a cosy lounge, and for the colder months, we have a wood-burning stove, which you are welcome to use. We would recommend you bring your own logs as we can not guarantee there will be any at the cottage. From here is a downstairs bathroom with a shower over the bath. Upstairs are two small double bedrooms, with double beds. The second bedroom has a small double bed and maybe suited for a single guest. Outside, we have an enclosed garden where you can enjoy the peace and tranquillity that surrounds the cottage. The cottage is situated in a idyllic rural setting in South Shropshire within a stone throw from the footpath Shropshire way. We welcome your one well-behaved furry friend to enjoy time with you as the garden is fully enclosed and safe for them to have a run around. Please be aware before booking that we have a strict no-vans, motorhomes, or caravans policy. We have limited parking for 2 small cars or 1 medium sized, and since the parking area is shared, we cannot accommodate anything larger. We have this in place out of respect for our neighbours since larger cars can block their access. The parking area is now gravelled, so it is clear where to park and stops it from getting muddy. This is the perfect retreat for couples, friends or small families that love to walk or cycle and enjoy the beautiful countryside as much as they like to sit and relax and take in the views. The cottage is small and although we advertise it for 4 people, it would be suited for 3 adults, or 2 Adults and 2 children. It may feel a little small for 4 adults. The cottage is compact but cosy and can accommodate two couples, though please keep in mind that it is a period property and some people may find it a bit tight. You may also enjoy being within easy reach of National Trust Parks including Croft Castle and Parkland and Berrington Hall. Guest access All of the property Other things to note If you would like a late check-out, we’re happy to offer this (this is subject to availability of our cleaning team) for an additional fee of £35, up to 1pm. After 1 pm, we will have to charge a further night's stay. We are more than happy for you to bring your furry friends with you. We ask that they stay downstairs and at a cost of £20.00. Please be aware our home is small and is suitable for one big dog or two small dogs. Our home is small but resides in such a peaceful, beautiful location. This is my home and I do store personal possessions at the property, although I try and keep them hidden out of the way. Parking There are two parking spaces in front of the garden. This space is compact and will accommodate two small cars or one large one. There simply isn't the space for VANS, CAMPER VANS, and MOTORHOMES. We will have to ask any visitors to park away from the premises if arriving in an unauthorised vehicle. Guest are advised to forward the registration plate of their vehicle for confirmation.
