Description

*New Hot Tub Has Arrived* Please contract us for pricing if staying a third night. The Medieval Manor is an amazing home which is just perfect for group stays. We are in the historic village of Caldicot, near the M4 & M5 motorways. The accommodation comprises the 1st and 2nd floors of the manor house. ***Please note all bookings have a minimum of 2 nights stay*** Everyone is welcome here, we are happy to host Hen and Stag weekends, family or friend groups & team building. The space All the photos shown here are the rooms you have for your exclusive use during your stay. The manor has 5 bedrooms and sleeps up to 12 adults in the bedrooms with a further sofa bed that can be used if needed. We also have three extra single mattresses that can be used if you have a couple more guests or children. We mostly host weekend and short break guests but we do take a few weekly bookings throughout the year as well. We can also put you in touch with caterers and other services on request. Even though the manor has been run for years as a successful holiday let we are constantly striving to improve for our guests, the guest kitchen was completely renewed last year and we have great plans for the outdoor spaces coming in early 2024. The Medieval Manor exudes an inner warmth, and unique charm. Furnished with both antique and reproduction pieces, this unique opportunity to enjoy life in a medieval manor should not be missed. The manor is a special place but is very much an ancient farmhouse, and family home. We welcome groups with children. We do allow dogs and cats are also welcome to join you. This truly is an amazing house, and I don't think there is another property as old in Wales, certainly not one that can be rented. You really are experiencing history when you stay here. It's a very special home and we are happy to be able to share it with people. We do live on the ground floor but the manor is huge with the exclusive guest accommodation having nearly 3,000 square feet of space. There are no shared spaces at all you have your own front door and driveway as well. We are really happy to be able share the manor with our guests, as we believe these places should be enjoyed and appreciated, so that they can be maintained for future generations. Staying at the manor not only helps support small business but it also helps preserve and maintain this historic home. We love pets at the manor but please note that we will only accept dogs that are spayed and neutered if over 9 months of age, as we have our own dogs living on site so dogs must be kept on a lead when outdoors. Guest access The guest accommodation comprises the 1st and 2nd floors of the manor. Guests have their own private entrance with onsite parking for 10 -12 cars. There are both straight and spiral stairs in the property which guests will need to use to reach the accommodation space. All the photos shown here are of the guest accommodation. We now have a keycode box so there's no need to meet anyone, just arrive when it is convenient for you. Someone is however always on site during your stay in case we are needed. You’ll be given all the arrival information about a week before your booking starts. Other things to note We can put you in touch with private caterers or for those who would rather dine out the local castle pub is just 200 yards away. There are many restaurants in the area to choose from, each offering a unique blend of traditional meals and exceptionally elegant creations. You can enjoy the finest food and superb wines, all while enjoying the breathtaking views of the Wye and Usk valleys. We can also put you in touch various event and entertainment companies, just ask for recommendations. The manor also have a large amount of outdoor wooden tables which some of which will soon be under cover for year round enjoyment.
