Welcome to The King’s Gathering, a private four bedroom, three bathroom log cabin on three levels 1.5 miles south of the Salmon River and famed lower fly zone in Altmar, NY. Host up to 12 people in our well-appointed 2,300 sq. ft. vacation home offering antiques and modern day conveniences. After catching your salmon or steelhead, hiking or cross-country skiing, riding an ATV/snowmobile on area trails (trailheads are 1-1.5 mi from property), or perhaps kayaking or canoeing in nearby Happy Valley ponds or rivers, rest assured of a great night’s sleep. Each room is named after a fish that can be caught in the Salmon River. The 'King Room' offers a king bed on the main level surrounded by logs adjacent to a full bath. Upstairs features three bedrooms and a full bathroom. The 'Coho Room' sleeps two on a queen bed and is painted the deep greens you would find on this fish. The 'Brown Trout Room' is painted a rich gold similar to the coloration of this fish and offers a full bed. The blue 'Rainbow Trout Room' offers two twin beds with accents of red found on this gorgeous fish. The lower level features slate flooring and a full bathroom with walk-in shower, bunk bed (twin over full) and pull-out twin sofa bed. The basement area is a great place to gather for board/video games or a friendly game of foosball. Each room/area is individually climate controlled. All bed and bath linens provided; down-alternative duvets used. As such, this is an animal-free, and smoke-free home. Enjoy all your home-cooked meals or morning espresso at our custom built farm table that extends to 10 feet and seats up to 12. Make s’mores and share tales of the day around the fire pit.
