There is also a ping pong table available on the meadow. The surroundings of the lake are pure nature. About 4 km away is the Rambower Moor with lake where many bird species live. Shopping is available in Lenzen/Elbe, about 5 km away. Lenzen has a historic city center and a castle with a park. There is also a pharmacy and doctors. The bungalow on Lake Rudow has a terrace, a pond with 2 frogs named "Günter and Heinrich" who give a frog concert every day (seasonal until August). A lawn, solar shower and an extra shed with a small kitchenette for cleaning any fish caught is also available. There is also a smoke oven, deck chairs, a Hollywood swing and two bicycles. Nearby there is also the Rambower Moor with lake and numerous bird species and wild animals. The moor was voted the most beautiful moor in Germany in 2014 and is under nature conservation. The town of Lenzen, about 5 km away, offers shopping, doctors, a castle and historic town center as well as the Elbe cycle path. The town of Dömitz is about 25 km away and borders Lower Saxony. Dömitz also has a fortress that you should definitely see. Ludwiglust (29 km) with the castle and Schwerin (67 km) is also worth a trip. Only 2 km further is the restaurant "Bauer" in Ferbitz.
