Aloha and welcome to Lake Daze at Tapps! Escape to your own private lakefront tiny home with tropical Hawaiian vibes, stunning sunsets, and peaceful waterfront views. Relax in a thoughtfully designed space featuring a cozy bed, complimentary snacks, kayaks, paddleboards, Tiki Hut and fire pits. Enjoy the feeling of a boutique couples cabin on the lake while staying close to Seattle, Tacoma, Mount Rainier, and endless Pacific Northwest adventures. The cabin is located on our main property The space This studio cabin/tiny home has beach vibes with an homage to our favorite place, Hawai'i! Relax and enjoy a morning coffee out on the deck or enjoy a glass of wine while taking in unobstructed lake views. Tiki styled covered outdoor gazebo is a fun area to hang out and be protected from the rain and provides shade in the summer. The 275 sq ft studio cabin is perfect for a couple and has a small bathroom and kitchenette. Please note that the kitchenette has limited cooking capabilities, but there is a small air fryer, toaster, blender, mini waffle maker, mini egg bite maker, hot water kettle and microwave. Blackstone 2 burner outdoor griddle available. Depending on the time of year, you may see the resident bald eagles whose nest is in a tree right next to our front yard! In the summer months guests can relax in the sun on the dock and jump in for a refreshing summertime swim in the lake. We provide lifejackets and guests are welcome to use the Kayaks and Stand-up Paddleboards on the lake. If you want to get out and explore Western Washington's beautiful landscape, the nearby hiking trails are popular with tourists and locals alike. Mount Rainier National Park: White River/Sunrise entrance is closest to our place. We are also close to shops, restaurants, and cute small town downtown areas like Enumclaw and Sumner with antique shops and boutiques. Guest access You will have access to: Cabin Deck Tiki-themed covered gazebo Fire pit Small lawn next to the lake Tiered patio area Dock Lake Complimentary use of various water toys such as: Stand up Paddleboards (2) Kayaks (2) Floating lily-pad mat and other floaties available in the summer months for guests to enjoy the lake. Other things to note Be aware that Lake Tapps has multiple personalities. In the Fall, Winter and Spring it is a peaceful, quiet lake with sights and sounds of nature greeting you each morning. In the summer, Lake Tapps can be very lively and entertaining with lots of boats, wakeboarders, skiers, wake surfers, and even a jet boat or float plane going by. NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY - We provide life jackets for guests use. Swim at your own risk, in the spring and early summer the lake is cold. Be aware of potential for hypothermia; we encourage all guests to use a lifejacket while swimming. The lake level drops from Oct-April, but there is year-round water in front of the cabin. There is a steep grass hill and stairs going down to the cabin and the lake. The cabin would not be the best choice for guests with mobility issues. Our water heater in the cabin has a 19 gallon capacity, so be aware it may run out of hot water if you are the long shower type! Free Wi-Fi, no cable- the TV is a ROKU enabled with Guest mode with some free content. Guests can use their own subscription accounts such as Netflix. No Washer/Dryer. Reasonable cleaning fee and no long list of chores upon checkout. Your private cabin is on the property of our main residence, so myself, husband and son are on property most of the time. (Unless we are at soccer, which happens a lot!) When we have guests in the cabin we give them their privacy and typically will only use the shared outdoor space if we are walking down to our boat or we are doing any needed yard maintenance. The hot tub and ski boat are personal property and are not part of the Airbnb rental. Thank you for understanding!
