Public Transit is a short distance away, as is Ferry service right to the sights in San Francisco. A charming traffic-free family-friendly town, Benicia boasts a thriving downtown shopping district (all locally owned!) with a stunning waterfront section and park, a thriving arts community, award-winning restaurants and easy direct access to the bay for boats/canoes/kite surfers as well as your choice of beaches and our many parks. Also Benicia is part of the Bay Area Bike Path system, and hiking is available all through the town and region. The main bathroom has a bath and shower.and the kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher, microwave and gas stove. There is a washer and dryer in the garage as well as an extra refrigerator. The deck overlooks the Carquinez Strait. My guests are welcome to enjoy the view from the back deck, use washer and dryer and have use of my kitchen I am happily available for any information my guests need to make their stay most enjoyable and enjoy the company of new friends Benicia is a small quaint town on the Carquinez straits steeped in history. It was one of the state capitals, a major pony express stop and now has a community of artists from painting to glass blowing. There are lots of unique shopping opportunities and beaches and parks to enjoy. Mare Island in nearby Vallejo has a wonderful Naval Museum a chapel with original Tiffany stained glass, a brewery and wine tasting. . We are close to Napa (20 minutes+) by car and bus and San Francisco (40 minutes+)by car, BART or ferry and an over all central location for Bay Area sight seeing! Benicia is 15 minutes away from BART (Bay Area Regional Transit) in North Concord and 10 minutes away from the Vallejo Ferry both of which go to San Francisco. There are buses to Napa which is less than 30 minutes away. We are 20 minutes from Napa so its easy to get to Bottle Rock and other wine country attractions.
