This airy and open home nestled in the emerald foothills of Sequoia National Park along the Main Fork of the Kaweah River offers four bedrooms to comfortably sleep up to 8 people. French doors open to the Grand Deck overlooking a vast yard and play area. Private and secluded, yet conveniently located in the heart of Three Rivers. Four miles from Sequoia National Park, and one mile from local dining and libations. Enjoy high speed internet, cable, full Chef's Kitchen, and ample space to play. The space We are very excited to open our home for our third season! This season, we have made some really lovely additions to the property. First, we've rearranged the space to include indoor dining, so there is space for meals and games inside the house. We have installed wood floors in the master and both bedrooms with queen-sized beds. The Harry Potter room has its original tile floor. We also have a propane BBQ up on the deck to make barbecuing more convenient! Our home is unique in Three Rivers because of its modern design and new construction mixed seamlessly with the historical adobe cabin that has stood on this property for over 150 years. Located on a well-hidden flag lot right in the heart of town, you will enjoy the sound of the river rather than the sound of traffic. During your time here, you are far more likely to see deer, red tailed hawks, and wild turkeys than you are to see other human beings. Unlike properties found on the North Fork and South Fork where the river often runs dry during summer months, the Main Fork of the Kaweah River flows through this property 365 days per year. Even during dry years, you will always be able to enjoy the river here. For your family's entertainment, we are leaving our Xbox with video games - various games appropriate for young children, preteens, and teens. Adults can enjoy evenings of Just Dance dance-offs too! We also have dozens of family board and card games to choose from. Kids can enjoy coloring/drawing/crafting activities. Check-in time is 4:00. If you're getting into town before 4:00 and need to drop off your luggage, please let us know so we can make arrangements. There is a lock box to make check-in completely convenient. The nightly rate includes Tulare County's 10% hospitality tax. Notes: Only guests who are on the reservation are to be on the property. Check-out time is 10:00. $100 will be charged each hour for late check-out beginning at 10:15 because we will need additional housekeeping staff to have the house ready on time for the next guests. Guest access With the exception of a locked storage garage, storage closet, and the utility area beside the house, you will have access to the entire acre of property - parking for three cars, home, deck, lawn, play structures, and river. Other things to note There are 35 lovely but irregularly spaced steps descending to the front entrance of the home. There is no other access. The property gets water from a river well. At various times of the year there will be a metallic smell as there are iron and other minerals in the river. The water from the refrigerator goes through three filters, but is not chlorinated. If your family is accustomed to city water or if you prefer distilled water, it can be purchased at the marketdown the road. Only guests who are on the reservation are to be on the property. If guests arrive who are not on the reservation, a charge of $100 per night per guest will be added up to eight guests. More than eight guests are not permitted. Check-out time is 10:00. $100 will be charged each hour for late check-out beginning at 10:15 because we will need additional housekeeping staff to have the house ready on time for the next guests.
