Welcome to our family’s beach house on Sullivan’s Island, built by my grandfather in 1925 and recognized as a historic resource. Just steps from a sandy footpath to the beach, about a 100 yard walk, it is easy to enjoy the ocean throughout the day. Pet friendly with approval. The house offers a relaxed, authentic beach experience. It is an older home with history, personality, and some quirks that come with age. About 20 minutes from Charleston. The space The upper level of this duplex is a private 4 bedroom home that sleeps 8: 1 King bedroom with en suite bathroom 2 bedrooms with double beds 1 bedroom with twin beds 1 additional bathroom shared by the 3 non primary bedrooms The home includes a full kitchen, living room, and dining area, along with a large screened front porch that acts as a second living space, perfect for having breakfast, relaxing after the beach and in the evenings. A winding staircase leads to the rooftop deck with lounge seating. While the ocean view is now mostly blocked by surrounding trees and homes, it is still a peaceful and amazing spot to catch the breeze and hangout. Additional features: Two outdoor showers: one located under the stairs for rinsing off after the beach, and one on the rooftop deck for cooling off, not full indoor style showers Central AC and heat Washer and dryer located in a separate laundry room 4 beach chairs available for guest use Linens and bath towels provided, please bring your own beach towels Guests have exclusive access to the upper level and rooftop deck. The lower level is occupied year round by a quiet family member with a separate entrance. Guest access The upper level is a private 4 bedroom home with exclusive access to the rooftop deck. We are always available by phone, text, or email if needed. Other things to note Dogs are welcome with prior approval All dogs must be licensed on Sullivan’s Island and wear a collar Restaurants on the island can get busy. We recommend making reservations in advance, especially in peak season This is a historic home from 1925 and not a modern build.
