Nestled on the tiny island of Spanish Wells, Palm Cottage is the perfect getaway for travelers looking to enjoy the pristine beauty of our islands in a tranquil setting. This charming heritage site was constructed of resilient Abaco pine in 1920. Guests have exclusive access to the entire home, including a master suite and guest bedroom on the ground floor and a spacious guest bedroom with half bath on the upper floor. There is an open plan kitchen, equipped with everything you need for cooking and grilling, a cozy living room for reading and relaxing, and, of course, WiFi. The expansive garden is full of tropical plants and is yours to explore, sample and enjoy. Guest access You will have exclusive access to the entire home and garden. Covid-19 - Cleaning Measures: I have adopted some new policies to ensure I am providing the safest possible environment for you and your loved ones during your stay. I follow Airbnb’s enhanced cleaning protocol, which was developed with expert guidance. Here are a few highlights: I sanitize high-touch surfaces, down to the doorknob. I use cleaners and disinfectants approved by global health agencies, and I wear protective gear to help prevent cross-contamination. I clean each room using extensive cleaning checklists. I provide extra cleaning supplies (including disposable paper towels, disposable gloves, multi-surface cleaner, disinfectant wipes or spray, antibacterial hand sanitizer and extra hand soap, bleach and rubbing alcohol), so you can clean as you stay. All linens are changed between guests, washed at the highest temperature setting and thoroughly dried before storage. I comply with local laws, including any additional safety or cleaning guidelines. I hope that these measures will put your mind at ease throughout your stay, however if you have any questions about my cleaning practices please don't hesitate to ask. Palm Cottage Extras: If you require extra sleeping space, the living room couch converts to a cozy day bed for one, and we also have a queen sized air mattress that fits easily in the second floor guest bedroom. We have a pack 'n play for your little one, and a safety rail for the guest room bunk bed as an additional option for toddlers or small children. Complimentary drinking water is provided throughout your stay. *Empty bottles are collected by a local water provider, they are cleaned and properly sterilized between each refill. If you run low or out of drinking water during your stay, kindly inform Dede and she will organize refills. Please enquire about bringing your pets. Transportation Info: Golf carts are an excellent way to get around and explore our tiny island at your leisure. The rental price for a four-seater is $50/day (or $250/week), and the price for a six-seater is $78.40/day. I am more than happy to reserve one for you, just let me know! Bookings of 6 days or more enjoy a 10% discount. If you are arriving at North Eleuthera Airport, Pinder's Taxi Service transports visitors to Spanish Wells for $15/person (one way). Simply contact them with your flight information (phone number will be provided upon booking), and they will meet you at the airport. From there it is a 20 minute taxi ride to Gene's Bay dock, and a then a further 5 minute water taxi to Spanish Wells dock where I will meet you. There are various charters and boat excursions available including fishing trips, visiting the world famous swimming pigs, our beautiful sand bars and even feeding sea turtles. Other water activities available include kayaking, snorkeling, paddle boarding and scuba diving. At Palm Cottage we have a selection of snorkeling gear available in various sizes for both children and adults - please enquire about sizes. If you would like to explore the near-by islands, day trips to North Eleuthera and the famous pink-sand beaches of Harbour Island are a must!
