Watch the dolphins & otters cruise by! Beautiful sunrises! Perfect for a weekend get-a-way or scalloping or snowbirds! Come for a weekend or stay for a while. We are off the beaten path and a rare find anymore in Florida. Just the 5 mile drive down Ozello Trail is something to see. Kingfishers, Egrets, Eagles, Heron's and so many more native birds can be seen on just the drive down! It's old Florida living, the way it used to be. There is no washer and dryer but the laundry mat is only right up the road. We don't want you doing laundry while your here! Take it home with you and enjoy the stay. Bring a cooler of beer and sit on the dock or walk next door and enjoy lunch or fresh shrimp or blue crab locally caught! We look forward to seeing you soon. Upstairs is not included in rental as owners live upstairs. We have a pet peacock named Ozzy who freely roams the property. He is very friendly and very social and will eat peanuts out of your hand if you are still. If you are bringing pets or children please do not let them chase him. He walks out the gate and visits the neigbors but he comes back so don't be alarmed. This property gives you that keys vibe. Take your shoes off and make yourself right at home! Guest access Downstairs everywhere is available for guests. Sit under the many tiki huts, make a fire in the fire pit or cook up some burgers on the charcoal grill. Other things to note Boat Ramp is for kayak launching only. Direct gulf access through the St. Martins River. This is a river between the Homosassa and Crystal River. It is marked with pvc poles, not red/green navigational markers. Winter months get shallow so a flats boat works best. Deep hull boats are not recommended. Summer tides are higher and are easier to get out on. Two boat ramps nearby. John Brown Park and Ozello Boats Marina, both are two blocks away. Once you launch, you can tie up and leave boat over night at our dock. Truck and Trailer parking inside the gate or outside the gate.
