Hay-on-Wye, famous for its literary festivals and known as the ‘Book Capital of the World’ is 27 miles away, and the cathedral cities of Worcester and Gloucester and the regency spa town of Cheltenham are all under an hours drive. Herefordshire offers an array of historical churches, castles and museums. For the more active guests there are an array of beautiful walks to enjoy such as the Bromyard Downs and slightly further afield there is Forest of Dean, the Malverns and the Black Mountains. Canoeing and kayaking are available on the River Wye which is a perfect way to take in the breath-taking views of the Wye valley.
