(License/Business File NO: 2018-BFN-0009306) The space ABOUT THE HOSTS Meet Curly, Fluffy, Sunshine, Blue, and Rascal our happy hens who, when laying may provide you with breakfast eggs. From urban "farm to table," you may also pick fresh *tomatoes off the vine for your morning omelet or an evening salad (*vegetables are seasonal and may vary.) Sip fresh-made grape juice (seasonal) from the grape arbor while lounging in the comfortable sunroom. Gina, your host, is also certified in the Square Foot Gardening Method. If you’re interested in learning the methodology for easily creating your own organic food source, private lessons are available. Just ask. Gina is also a certified Infinite Possibilities coach. Based on the work of Mike Dooley (creator of Notes from the Universe), Gina can counsel you on ways to transform your life into becoming more joyous and abundant, in this idyllic setting. While staying at our urban oasis, you can enjoy everything our homestead offers, all within easy access to the very best of Denver. During the day, enjoy a plethora of garden delights or just soak up the sun among the flowers. At night, the outdoor area turns into a magical ambience that nurtures the soul. THE SPACE THE HOME Built in 1888, this home has been lovingly renovated with all modern, energy-saving amenities. A perpetual student of life and bohemian world traveller, Gina has filled the home with artifacts from her globetrotting. Enjoy beautiful Turkish treasures, each with their own story, including pottery, rugs, decor, chairs, and other items. Find something you’ve fallen in love with? SUNROOM The heart of the home, and our most popular spot to relax, the sunroom features a variety of seating areas. Gather your family and friends for lively conversations, or just curl up alone with a good book and bask in this peaceful setting. No matter the elements outside, inside the sunroom you can comfortably enjoy the magic of every season — soak in the warmth of summer’s lazy days, gaze at the fall leaves as they flicker and whisper of summer’s end, watch gently cascading snowflakes while winter sets in, or inhale the wonder of spring’s new flowers as another season is born. LIVING ROOM The living room features a couch and seating for at least 6, with a lovely view of the fireplace. Choose records (remember those?) to play on a good ‘ol fashioned record player — everything from sultry jazz to spicy salsa to old time big time, or bring your own! Then put on your dancin’ shoes and dance the night away. Or, if being a couch potato for an evening is the ticket, there’s a 55” color TV calling your name. Game night is alway a hit with the family; try one of the many board games from Scrabble to Uno, there's something fun for the whole family! DINING ROOM Plenty of dining space is available with our unique low-to-the ground Turkish style dining. Seating for 6, along with a 2-seat bar, provides plenty of space for gatherings and meals. Enjoy the open concept in this area between the kitchen and living room, along with the gorgeous pass-through gas fireplace on those chilly Colorado evenings. KITCHEN Whether you’re cooking a fresh meal from scratch, or grabbing a pizza after a hike in the hills, this lovely open concept gourmet kitchen has all the amenities you could possibly need. Featuring stainless steel appliances, double electric oven, gas cook top, and a wide variety of cookware, meals will be a breeze. KITCHEN TIPS Coffees and teas are freely available for your use; any beverages in the fridge are also available, along with condiments; Garden Herbs: be sure to head to the garden for fresh organic herbs for your meals; Composting: Save your food scraps (the hens love those), for one of the two outside compost bins; Recycling: plastic, glass, newspaper, magazines, plastic containers, cardboard, etc., are all recyclable and can be placed in recycling containers near the garage/back studio. WASHER & DRYER Off the kitchen is a laundry room, complete with a stackable laundry center, along with an iron and ironing board. Natural laundry soap is also available for your use. BEDROOMS All bedrooms feature air conditioning and ceiling fans! The master bedroom upstairs features a carpeted floor, Romeo balcony, an exceptionally comfortable queen bed, and pillows designed for a restful journey into dreamland. Space and extra hangers are available in the closet for your clothes, along with available drawer space in the dresser. Relax in the chaise lounge before dinner, or can easily be converted to a child’s bed, if needed. The upstairs double bedroom has a very comfortable memory foam double bed. The entire closet and dresser space are fully open and available. Write postcards home from the vintage desk as you gaze upon the sunset over the Rocky Mountains. The downstairs bedroom has an ensuite bath, comfortable double bed, and plenty of closet space in the mini walk-in closet. BATHROOMS The upstairs master ensuite bathroom boasts a luxurious soaking tub to enjoy after a full day’s events. Natural spa products including bath salts and various toiletries are available to enhance your bath time experience. Be sure to dry off with our Turkish towels, direct from Istanbul. Downstairs, there’s a bathroom off the kitchen, and also accessible to the guest bedroom. The newly remodeled bathroom features a beautiful Italian travertine tile shower. Extra towels and washcloths can be found in the basket under the sink. PARKING Parking is usually available at the front of the property. Entrance to the property is best accessed from the front, yet if parking is unavailable, parking can be arranged at the back, off the alley. THE YARD The beautifully landscaped yard beckons a game of croquet or badminton. Or perhaps while you lounge in the sunroom, the children frolic in the sand box. Please note, the host loves dogs, yet because there is already a dog on the property, the host respectfully requests you leave your furry, four legged friend at home. Thanks for understanding. URBAN SQUARE FOOT GARDEN Our motto is from square foot to square meal, so guests are welcome to harvest items from the garden for meals. And be sure to check in with Chi-Chi, Cha-Cha, and Cho-Cho for your daily egg supply. Outside the sunroom, there are fresh herbs for the pickin' and an easy-to-use composter, which will happily take your kitchen scraps (detailed instructions will be found in your welcome packet). You’ll also find seasonal items available in the refrigerator or pantry. Enjoy! HOT TUB Starry, starry night! Nestled under the flowering pear tree, this 3-seater hot tub offers views of nighttime stars or daytime garden delights. Guests with children must supervise at all times. You'll find hot tub towels on the sun porch for your use. WI-FI AND BASIC CABLE Stay connected with wi-fi, inside or out, and enjoy Direct TV and internet. Guest access GUEST ACCESS You will have sole use of the main house. There is an artist's studio located in the back of the property where the host, if she’s in town, will be creating/meditating :-) Other things to note Because there is a dog, and other animals on the property, I cannot accommodate a guests' dog, thank you for understanding.
