El Rancho Grande at La Junta Guest Ranch is a very comfortable cabin-suite which has just undergone an extensive remodel to add 6 all new bedrooms, including one king suite with private bath and fireplace, and a queen suite with private bath and fireplace.  One room has two twin over full bunks, another has a queen bed and one set of twin bunks, and there are two other queen bedrooms, to make a total of 18 sleeping spaces in this unit.  In addition, there are 2 other bathrooms, a brand new kitchen and living room with local-rock fireplace, 65" flat-screen TV, washer/dryer, and the 6 person hot tub is just a few steps out the back door.  Watch the sun come up fiery red over the Capitan mountain range on the front porch, or the courtyard is just out your back door, with lots of seating for hanging outdoors with family and friends, where you`ll find gas grills, a horseshoe pit and the hot tub.   At the front of the property is the Main Lodge, where you`ll find the pool table and a very comfortable living area with beautiful flagstone fireplace. You`ll see deer roaming the property and don`t be surprised to see the VIPs (Very Important Ponies - the Free-Roaming Horses of Alto) wandering through, as well as the occasional fox, elk, jackrabbits and cottontail rabbits. Bring your camera and your best smile! You`ll love the serenity of this semi-secluded location in the tall pines, where you`ll seldom hear a car, yet you`re only 10 minutes from the heart of Ruidoso and closest to the ski area! All La Junta Guest Ranch amenities are available to guests, with the exception of the Cantina Meeting Room. The Cantina is available for rental to groups/families needing a larger space for gathering/meals. It has a large kitchen and 60+ seating for meals.
