Eggs and Coast - Peaceful Summer Retreat #2

Our comfortable home is 1.5 miles from the public beach. We are located far enough away from town to enjoy peaceful moments among the birds and butterflies, yet close enough to walk, drive, or bike to all the festivities in town. While you're here be sure to stroll our Riverwalk, visit a u-pick fruit farm, shop our quaint downtown and farm market and and take in the most beautiful Michigan sunsets - at our North or South Pier - that you've ever seen. The space Edit The space Our home is comfortable, clean, and is located in a small quiet neighborhood that backs up to a woods - which is located right in our own backyard! Our Peaceful Summer Retreat offers a wonderful place to relax after a day at the beach, exploring the coastline, or hiking or biking on the Kal-Haven trail which is located less than one-quarter mile from our home. We provide a simple, wholesome breakfast between 8 and 9 am, family-style. Your breakfast might be eggs, bread, and roasted veggies; potato-kale and egg hash, quinoa-veggie-egg bowls, a home-made strata with cheese and seasonal veggies, or our favorite - egg sandwiches on locally baked whole grain bread with homemade goat cheese, veggies, and a heaping bowl of fresh fruit (blueberries for sure in August)! We pride ourselves on using local ingredients - purchased at our amazing farm market - whenever possible. In August breakfast is often eggs and blueberry pancakes. Of course, there will ALWAYS be coffee and a variety of teas. Guest access Our home is a Ranch-style home. The bedroom you are renting is located on one side of the house, next to another bedroom which we also rent. There is a full bathroom, with a tub and shower, directly across the hall from the bedrooms. There is also another half-bath, just down the hall, dedicated for guest use. We provide towels, washcloths and beach towels. We are happy to share our comfortable living room, back yard, deck, and kitchen with you between the hours of 7 a.m. and 10 p.m. We do not allow full-scale cooking in our kitchen but by all means, please use the refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot and toaster as you please -as long as you clean up after yourself and are done by 11 p.m. Please eat in the kitchen area - and not in the bedroom - so we are able to keep the rest of the house clean for you and our future guests. During your stay We will respect your privacy, but will be available in the morning and evening should you have any questions or issues. We provide breakfast between 8 and 9 am. We have lived in South Haven over 20 years and are excited to provide you with suggestions and information on all South Haven has to offer.
