**2026 calendar has not been determined - check back for updates!** Our unique cottage is the perfect place for singles or couples to enjoy a serene setting for reading, art work, writing and meditation. It's tucked away from route 1 near marshes and tidal coves but also easily accessible to Acadia National Park, the Bold Coast, and the Quoddy Head lighthouses. You will be immersed in the elements to witness dramatic tide changes, super dark skies for stargazing, and an abundance of wildlife. The space There's something magical about this spot on Pigeon Hill Bay, bordered by Bar Island and the Petit Manan peninsula. You'll hopefully arrive in time to see the sun set, and perhaps have a meal on our seaside deck. Enjoy dark and quiet evenings with a puzzle or games, or a DVD movie from our collection. You’re sure to sleep well in our new (2020) Queen bed in a southeast bedroom that has a sliding door with water view. You'll awake to the sun rising through the tall evergreens, the calls of seabirds, and quite possibly some deer grazing just steps from the house. In summer you’ll find a variety of places to enjoy sun, shade, breezes, and open sky. Try our shaded double hammock, zero-gravity lounger, or a couch on the deck. After dinner, head to the Adirondack chairs by the fire pit to count the stars and bask in the glow of a full moon or the Milky Way on moonless nights. In winter, you might hike or snowshoe nearby trails, cross country ski on the carriage roads in Acadia National Park, or catch up on your reading indoors. And have no fear about power outages as we have a whole-house generator. The property sits at the northern tip of Pigeon Hill Bay, making it a most interesting spot to watch the tidal changes. Whether you envision sitting with a book, exploring on foot, or paddling your personal kayak/canoe - it can all be done without getting in the car! In addition, you'll be within easy driving distance of many enriching Downeast destinations, many of which we share in our extensive digital guide provided to all guests.
