The Gathering House Saugerties/Woodstock

The Gathering House is perfect for friend reunions, family get togethers and those who love to cook! Throw fabulous dinner parties in the 800 sq ft open kitchen and dining room with farm table for ten. The kitchen is stocked with all of the cookware, dishes and glassware you could need! The house is in a convenient location in West Saugerties. Centrally located between the towns of Woodstock and Saugerties. House is just 12 minutes off I-87. Sorry, no pets of any size allowed in the house. The space The house has five equally appointed bedrooms: One on the 1st floor, Four on the 2nd floor. All five bedrooms have Queen size beds, with all new mattresses and boxsprings. The house is charming, clean and cozy with a mix of new, antique and handmade furnishings. First floor has a lounge style TV room with a large sectional sofa and ROKU TV with streaming capabilities (house do not have cable TV) and an adjacent sitting room, perfect for a group of four to have coffee, cocktail hour or play games. Bathrooms are bright and squeaky clean with wall to wall subway tile and all brand new fixtures. We provide two rolls of toilet paper per bathroom for your stay. Upstairs bathroom has large windows and high ceilings with a standard tub and shower combo. First floor bathroom has a roomy stall shower and laundry. Towels and basic bath products are provided. The heart of the house is the 800 sq ft Kitchen/Dining Great Room complete with rustic farm table that can seat 10 people. We encourage guests to make them selves at home and cook at the house. New stainless steel appliances and all of the cookware, glassware and dishes you'll need are provided. Coffee maker is a standard Mr. Coffee 8-10 cup drip machine with reusable filter. This great room has a ductless Heat/AC unit installed in June 2024. You can now control heating and cooling for this room. Guest access Guests will have private access to the entire house and yard. Please do not invite people who are not part of your group into the house. Please be respectful of our neighbors and keep noise to a minimum after 9PM when enjoying the back patio and yard. Other things to note Any food left out on the kitchen counters should be securely contained when left out over night as to not attract any mice. We keep the house immaculately clean but we are located in the country and they have been known to appear from time to time, especially when there's crumbs to find. Air Conditioning Note: There are window AC units in each of the 5 bedrooms, the house does not have central air. There are portable fans in each bedroom closet. Window units are installed for guests from Mid-May through mid-October. The great room (kitchen and dining) has a brand new Mitsubishi ductless split unit for Air conditioning (and heat!) for this room, installed in June 2024. Fire Pit: We do not provide fire wood for the fire pit. If there is any wood left in the shed from previous guests feel free to use it! Please use only store bought, dry fire wood (all gas stations and grocery stores in the area sell fire wood). **DO NOT** pull branches/sticks or logs from the woods behind the house, it won't burn. Make sure your fire is full extinguished before leaving the fire pit. Parking for 5 cars max. Please do not park or drive on the grass. Ride Share services like Uber and Lyft are rare and not dependable in the area unless you pre-schedule rides! Please note, There are no bars or restaurants in walking distance from the house. Trash/Recycling bins are located in the shed, please put all trash/recycling in appropriate bins at checkout. Pad lock code for the shed is "2025" Note: If you're checking out on a Monday, please put trash & recycle bins at the curb Sunday night.
