Kickapoo River Lodge

WELCOME TO THE DRIFTLESS! This cabin has been an absolute dream of ours since first moving the area over 10 years ago now. Chris and Alexa have fallen in love with the area and the food and people and so many other things that make The Driftless so amazing. Situated just outside of Soldiers Grove, it provides the absolute perfect base for exploring all of the regional offerings. Tucked on a hillside back in the woods, but also with private Kickapoo River frontage/views its dream getaway! The space The cabin is a classic rustic design with large south facing windows that allow the light to filter in and warm the whole house. There is an outdoor firepit for roasting smores and canoe/kayak available to explore the river. You can choose to explore all of the incredible towns and scenery around, or take it all in from the deck and living room with never having to leave. We do love to host groups focused on fly fishing, and have a dedicated tying bench in the basement for use. Chris is happy to point you in the right direction and we’re aways encouraging of a trip to Driftless Angler in Viroqua for gear and guides if needed. We also own a private section of lovely trout stream about 20min from the cabin we can provide access to for a small fee. There is a pellet smoker/grill combo on the deck for use year round. Important to note is the driveway is STEEP and 4wd or AWD is required when snow is on the ground. The fireplace inside can be used with Duraflame logs only (provided). Other things to note Extremely close to Driftless Angler for all of your fly fishing needs!
