Please note that as of June 20, 2021, the town of Silverton will no longer allow OHV's on roads within town limits. OHV users will need to haul OHV's outside of town to unload for off road riding. Guest access Silverton is a walkable town and you can easily walk to the local grocery store, liquor store, restaurants, bars and gift shops from The Russian Princess. Ample parking is available in the driveway as well as on the side and in front of our home. Other things to note Our home was built in 1883. This means it is quaint and has character. Though it has been modernized in some ways, there are a few things we can't change. First, the plumbing is old. Please do not put food down the garbage disposal. The toilets can clog easily due to the old plumping so lots of flushing and minimal toilet paper is best. Second, the furnace is new as of October 2020, and the house heats up quickly. Unfortunately, it is located in the center of the house and can be loud when it turns on during the winter months. We've learned to heat the house up before a family movie night and then turn it down so it doesn't come on during the movie. Or we just turn the volume up loud. Either way, it's a bit of an inconvenience. To preserve the historic wood floors, we ask that guests enter through the back door and leave shoes in the mudroom. Silverton has dirt roads which means there can be lots of mud and dirt, therefore, we ask that guests not wear shoes in the house.
