Dining out is a real treat as Instow has an excellent selection of restaurants and cafés, many overlooking the estuary with views towards Lundy Island. You can take the ferry from Instow to Appledore on the opposite side of the estuary, where young and old will enjoy crabbing off the quay. The wide golden sandy beaches of Northam Burrows and Westward Ho! are popular with surfers, and are just 4 miles away. Bideford, only 2 miles away, and the RHS Rosemore, 10 miles, offers a plethora of amenities and boat trips to Lundy Island.
