The 1904 WORLD’S FAIR RETREAT

The World's Fair Retreat will not only give you one of the most unique and enjoyable stays in the Midwest, but it will also take you back in time to 1904 when St. Louis was not only a major industrial empire, but a crown jewel of the ENTIRE WORLD - thanks to the 1904 World's Fair held in the Forest Park of St. Louis. This retreat is situated in the cozy & hip Tower Grove East neighborhood, where true STL city locals live, shop, eat, drink, and be merry! A one-of-a-kind St. Louis experience! The space **If you book for dates Oct 15-22 we are offering a 25% discount - because there will be zero to limited access of the front door (due to porch repairs), and you will need to use the rear entrance and backyard to enter & exit the property, which may be an inconvenience. You'll be enchanted by the elegant design/decor that is ALL based around the early century Victorian era and the STL World's Fair. The retreat (originally built in 1896) is completely decorated with art, photos, aerial maps, antiques, original postcards, books, and memorabilia from the fair that will give any visitor or history buff a true understanding of how truly grand this event was. More than just 1 or 2? No problem - there is a queen sized memory foam sleeper sofa in the living room AND a queen sized memory foam pull out bed in the dining room. AND there's also a full tea/coffee station along with snack items we keep stocked for you (which is fun to prepare and then enjoy in the relaxing sun-room). Perfect for helping you get energized in the mornings! Ready to go explore? There are 2 road bikes available onsite for guests to rent for a minimal fee (see in pics). Gorgeous Tower Grove Park is only 4 blocks away, the Grand Ave. strip is about 6 blocks away, and the Missouri Botanical Garden is about 1 mile away! Plus...there’s so much more to see in the surrounding area! But there is no garage or private parking. The exterior of the house has a Ring security camera - only for protection of the house, our guests, and to prevent unauthorized parties. This house is decorated with valuable antique décor, with some of it being fragile. Please take this into consideration if you have young children in your group. For stays with more than 2 guests there is a small additional guest fee. Please ensure your guest count is correct for accurate pricing.
