Nestled on the shores of Lake Manitou in Rochester, Indiana, this rare find offers panoramic lake views, breathtaking sunsets, and a cozy retreat for relaxation, adventure, and making unforgettable memories. The space Inside you will find a fully equipped kitchen featuring stainless steel appliances, a microwave, blender, toaster, and all the cookware and dish ware you need to prepare meals with ease. The updated bathroom includes a tiled bathtub/shower, fresh towels, and a hairdryer. A washer and dryer is also included. Each of the three bedrooms include cozy bedding , and there is a sleeper sofa in the living room. Upon request a Pack 'n' Play is available for little ones. The open-space living and dining area creates a welcoming “great room” atmosphere, and when you open the double French doors and windows, the refreshing lake breeze flows right in. The spacious 3-season front porch is a favorite gathering spot featuring a dining table (seats 6-8), sofa, a rocking chair, and a selection of puzzles, board games, and fishing poles for your enjoyment. Outdoor living is at its finest with large decks on both lakeside and street side, complete with dining tables and sitting areas perfect for soaking in the lake views. Spend your days relaxing lakeside from the porch, deck or pier. Little ones can safely splash near the shore, while older kids and adults can jump off the end of the pier or enjoy the swim platform for extra fun. For a little more adventure, a two-person kayak and a stand-up paddle board are available for exploration of the lake. We also provide beach towels, life jackets, and fishing poles to make the most of your waterfront experience. The backyard offers plenty of space for yard games, and a gas grill is also available. Bird watchers will love the decks. Keep an eye out for bald eagles and osprey overhead. Guest access Guests have access to the parking, home, yard, decks, pier and lake. If you have a boat, you’re welcome to dock your boat at the pier. If you are planning to use the sleeper sofa, please advise host. Other things to note A boat ramp is located less than a mile away for easy boat launching. Plenty of parking is available for both your vehicle and boat trailer at the cottage. Owner reserves the right to occasionally access pier, if needed.
