We have beautiful (spectacular!!) views off to the west and northwest (great sunsets). Our cottage sits on a hill surrounded by stately maples and open pastures. It sits at 2100 feet above sea level and overlooks a lake with a 75 mile view across the mountains of Vermont and into New York State (we see the highest mountain in NY). The cottage is very private being surrounded by 100 acres of our land, and hundreds more acres of friends, family and the State of Vermont. We have our own trail network for hiking, snowshoeing and xc skiing, and there's lots of other hiking all around the town and local area. ..... and we have a moose that visits every now and then Although private, this house is in the heart of the Vermont ski and tourist area so there are lots of restaurants, shops, and activities within 5 to 10 miles (Mt.
