Thank you for Visiting our Listing! Sandhill Crane Cottage is available from Mid-March through Mid-October. Our Cottage brings many amenities and offers a relaxing atmosphere from the moment you step inside. There is something about our Straw Bale Cottage that refreshes you, mind and body! Plus, We are just 1/4 mile (as the crow flies) from The White Water Draw and thousands of wintering Sandhill Cranes. Sandhill Crane Cottage is surrounded by many shade trees, fruit trees, and a great yard. The space Sandhill Crane Cottage is a straw bale home. It is constructed with timbers called vegas (pronounced vee-gahs) straw bales and stucco. It is unique as the walls are about 2 feet thick, therefore keeping the temperature inside fairly stable. Our Cottage is done in a mission style and has a fairly open floor plan. The Cottage is one large room containing the living room, kitchen, and dinning. The bedroom is an added room with a large entry that is not closed in. It contains a bathroom with shower. The large bedroom contains a king size bed and a single day bed with a trundle bed under the day bed. This can be made into another king size bed if needed. The cottage also has a play and pack for smaller guest. We do not have a bath tub, sorry. Guest access You have the entire space! Other things to note We are surrounded by history, Cochise, Geronimo, Coronado, Wyatt Earp, Doc Holliday, Tombstone, The Chiricahua Mountains, Cochise Stronghold...all here closely. We set just 1/2 mile from the Whitewater Draw where thousands of Sandhill Cranes come to winter from mid October through late February and early March. You will have a lot to do, and Sandhill Crane Cottage is here for you relaxation!
