We did that because most rentals are Saturday to Saturday, which means ALOT of traffic and headaches when you are trying to get to your rental. You want to avoid the traffic and start enjoying your vacation on the ride down. You cannot do that if you are sitting in bumper to bumper traffic. Plus, another little known secret is that the Saturday before your check-out is the best beach day, because everyone is leaving, and the check-ins haven't arrived yet!
