Welcome to the home of the World Famous Honkey the Donkey! Our home is located on 25 acres, and is home to our pet miniature donkey, Honkey, as well as goats, dogs, barn kitties, and horse companions that all LOVE to meet new people! You can get your fill of all the local wineries, breweries, and scenery the hill country has to offer. If you are looking for a place to unwind, take in the beauty of the hill country, and still be within 45 minutes of downtown Austin, this is the place for you! The space This cozy cabin is perfect for a relaxing family getaway where you can love on animals, relax in the hammocks, or enjoy the firepit at night or pool during the summer. We are located 5 miles from downtown Dripping Springs and HEB and are close to many of the wedding venues including Camp Lucy. This cabin has 2 queen beds and built in bunk beds. A kitchen with stove, refrigerator and microwave and even a charcoal grill outside if you prefer. The kitchen is stocked with dishes, pots and pans and keurig coffee maker along with basic necessities including coffee. The bathroom includes a stand up shower (no bathtub). There are other cabins and larger short term rental house on the property. Many guests invite friends and family to join them while each having their own space. We have 50 acres and you will have access to 25 acres where you are welcome to hike and explore. Please wear close-toed shoes. There are 2 pools on the property but the cabins share our pool which is a short walk across the property. You will receive instructions on accessing the pool with your check-in info. The pool is available mid March to mid September and we just ask that you bring your own pool towels. You will enjoy watching the animal antics as most of the time the free roam the property. Please do not feed them but you are welcome to pet them. Other things to note Things to note: No animals allowed due to livestock on property. No smoking in or around property. Pool access available mid March thru Mid September 10am-7pm.
